New Stage

I expected to see the same stage set that was debuted during the summer shows in Europe for the Fall leg of the US Tour. Does anyone know whether it's just too big of a setup for the US arenas included in this Fall's tour, or why they elected to stay with the tri-towers (logistics of moving the larger stage greater distances) setup that they used on the previous tour legs?

The outdoor venues in Europe this summer were 50,000 and greater capacity - All shows here are less than 20,000 and indoors. So the stadium stage would be completely incompatible here.

Blatant size difference aside, even if they could find a way to tour with that stage in the US, the dates would all have to be several days apart (like they were in Europe) because it takes that long to set up and tear down.

In my opinion the towers are a better stage design anyway, if you're shorter than others you can see the band clearly when they're on the towers, and enjoy the music when they're not (they usually descend for heavy riffage anyway  )

Also, the tower setup isn't too high up, so if you get on the barrier there isn't the same worry about not seeing much of the band.
