OK. I don't think they ever mean to diss electronic music/instruments, since they've been fucking with it for a long time now. I think "real" instruments to them is what they are used to, what's in their comfort zone which is a bass, a guitar and a drumkit. Saying that, they should really replace "real" with something else.
