  1. Alright, here goes. I MIGHT be interested in trading my '04 Rickenbacker 4003 Fireglo. She's a beauty and in perfect condition. I've removed the pickup cover but will include it and the original case with papers etc. if a deal is reached. I'm not exactly looking for cash, though I might consider it if right offer comes.

I'm mostly looking for a Pedulla Rapture, Status S-2(pref. not headless), maybe even a cheaper-end Sadowsky? Could also consider a high-quality Manson replica + cash or Deep Impact + cash. Hell, if someone has an authentic Manson available, I'd be interested.

Could add like max 200€ if needed, but only for an authentic Manson or Status.

I know I'm basically shouting in the wind, but I'm gonna be patient with this one. She deserves a home where she gets played more, but I still don't want to rush a trade. Pics available on PM.

  3. I dunno, when you're playing 15 song sets, and half of them have some sort of often long as hell "intro" (not to mention the equally choreographed outros,) it starts to feel like filler.

This is something I would expect a band to do that doesn't have 7 albums, and is maybe struggling to fill the set time. Or a band that's so bored or lazy they don't want to add more songs, maybe.

Putting Prelude before Starlight, and JFK before whatever random song that wasn't Defector (that it often didn't even make sense with) just cemented in my mind that they were simply trying to waste as much time as possible.

Why does the band need such a long break before every damn song? They're not 80.

Taken from the Hartwall arena set(which was actually above average for the tour considering we got Map, TaB and Reapers):

    *Isolated System(shortened)*

    The Handler

    SMBH + Voodoo Child intro

    Prelude

    Starlight

    Feeling Good

    Munich Jam

    Madness

    *JFK*

    Interlude

    Hysteria

That is actually some meme-tier shit. JFK INTO INTERLUDE and then Hysteria? Wtf man?

  4. I thought it was rough in the middle of the set, too, which is where I mostly saw it. With each passing tour it feels like there's more and more downtime in between songs, and MWAH just felt like another overlong break in the action.

Not at all controversial: the band needs to tighten up their damn set

The difference is though, I don't mind Interlude to Hysteria or MWAH so much as they actually play those. Isolated System, JFK and Drones, fuck off. Drill Sergeant can stay in the occasional rotation, it's so short.

  9. And when speaking of big market bands around the world, it's a repeating theme you can see with them. With few exceptions of course. First, when the band breaks through, the flood gates open(Showbiz, OoS, Hullabaloo and Abso were four years apart and there was crapton of singles and whatnot in the mix too). Then it calms down a bit(just a few singles and mostly just touring in 2003-06) and after the next album(BHaR in their case obv) the cycle of 'new album every few years' begins, couple of live dvd's here and there. Then, for most bands, comes the break. I think they're in that stage, but what we know of how Matt's mind works, I'm not sure if he's ready for the break yet. Sometimes I feel he's too anxious to just give himself some time. Like he thinks people would forget them and their music.

  10. So I'm thinking off selling off the majority of Muse Collection (a list of most of what I have can be found on my profile) as I really need the space it's all taking up. Looking for advice whether I should stick it all on ebay together or auction it as individual items?

I'd be interested to buy a lot of the stuff you have(if still available), PM me if you have price ideas for the items or I can just send you the list of what I want and you give me the price?

  11. Matt could do with being a bit less didactic and blatant. A lot of his lyrics are fairly meaningful, they just sound a bit daft.

The idea and thought behind the lyrics is usually nice, but the way they usually turn out in the final product... oh boy. Matt really has not matured as a lyrics writer, has he?
