  1. It's not about headbanging or partying only. The sounds are heavy. They go really deep and dark. How they were playing around the couple of accords. Gradually increasing the amount of musical accompaniment. And finally, it sounds just like the process of expansion of the Universe. Like you can feel it. As heavy and... Fatal they are.
  2. Why Survival but not IS? It may have been because Olympics is kind of a bigger event than a release of a film? 'World War Z' which features the band's music" - yeah, that was the exact choice of words... I was wrong about this then. Somehow, they would have mentioned IS was written for a film.
  3. Did they have any particular reason even mention it? Some people ask questions like: "do you think Dom wrote Unsustainable?", while not mentioning a thing like this would be illegal. Contrary, there is nothing so special about it (IS). It's possible thar they created IS as a soundtrack for WWZ. And released it as a track in T2ndLaw. Why not?
  4. And I knew IS was released in their latest album. Just several months before it was released in WWZ. Do you know for how long films are being made? Especially those high-budget blockbusters as this one? For a long time. Much longer than 6 months. So, I think IS could have been originally created for the film, however, was released earlier as a part of T2ndL.
  5. No, I just use lots of sarcasm, often cynicism and intensify sometimes too much. That's why it may be difficult to get. And because of the language specialities. So, where is contradiction? All my previous posts are saying the same thing in different words. Ok, except that one, where I said that soundtracks can only be perceived within the context of the film". I was NOT referring to the all-ever soundtracks. But lots if them (IS included).
  6. What about ConScience? It's growing pretty heavy from the middle to the end.
  7. No, I stated very clearly everything I think. Yes, it worked well within the film, much better than as a separate piece, imo. And this is what I've been saying since the beginning. Before going into discussing all the soundtracks that ever existed.
  8. Oh... Of course I heard IS before watching. When was T2ndL released? Somewhat in october? I listened to it immediately, and was really frustrated by it. IS didn't gain my attention at all. So, yes, I became more aware of this track after I've known It was used in a film. But before I watched it. And you still don't get what I mean by saying that IS is nothing more than a soundtrack. It's not because IS is instrumental or quiet or whatever. I think, it's quite a weak composition on its own, while in the film it fitted well. And I haven't said and I don't think that (despite all your attempts to twist my words) a soundtrack itself can never ever be an independent composition. IS just isn't so. As I repeated around 100 times.
  9. Hahaha!!! Yes, why not? It could represent that. But generally, ")" means a smile, ")))))" laughing etc. It increases with the amount of brackets.
  10. Were you referring to me? With my love towards ")))))"? I just prefer them to that awful smiles. Got used to it. Do you guys think I am Russian?
  11. Yeah. This is kind of what I meant. And yes, a track that was used in a film, eventually becomes a soundtrack. As I said in my reply to FabriPav above. I wasn't impressed by IS at all when I first listened to it. After watching the film I thought it was the best solution of using IS. I mean for me it's only an ordinary soundtrack.
  12. This is what I do as well. That's why basically I watched World War Z. As I don't really like those type of movies. And, i didn't do that because I liked IS so much or found it atmospheric or smth. Just because they used Muse's work. And I had heard it before I have watched the film. I wasn't impressed in any way. While after watching it I have been convinced that using it as a soundtrack is the best solution. This is what I meant.
  13. How can YOU say this? I only asked how is being obsessed with IS possible while it's absolutely a soundtrack for me and i don't find it's atmospheric on its own. You, as usually, tried to persuade me that MY opinion about a song that I(!) like/dislike is wrong. Going into long discussion of the meaning and purpose a soundtrack in a film. And now you are saying that I was the one who involve people in useless conversations? Unbelievable.
  14. No. Because the film is just as poorly made as this soundtrack is primitive. "Probably because it wasn't written for the film...")))))))) lots of soundtracks were not made for the films in which they were used and worked perfectly, however, still being independent compositions. I just asked if IS was made as a soundtrack. It wasn't? Well, fine." It's completely wrong to say that it's a "basic soundtrack song" because it was in no way intended to be that." There is no "because". It's definitely a basic, monotonous and absolutely ordinary soundtrack even if it wasn't intended to be so. This is the cause. Not the effect. However, i have noticed here some problems with identifying them...
  15. That's all great. I haven't said that a soundtrack cannot be atmospheric on its own. I've said that usually (not all of them) soundtracks can only be perceived within the context of a film. And IS system is one of those soundtracks, in my opinion. However, there are soundtracks that exist as separate pieces and I gave the examples of composers that I, personally, enjoy very much. One of those that you brought up is one of my favorite. Are we still talking about IS? Because that was my original point: IS is only an ordinary soundtrack that exists within the context only (in my opinion!). Although, I don't deny that that a soundtrack can be a masterpiece on its own.
  16. IS was made as a separate piece? Didn't know that. Are you sure? And your previous post doesn't prove your point at all. "If we can tell that something bad is gonna happen in a movie before it happens because of the soundtrack, that means that the soundtrack delivers the feeling of danger, not the movie"? But at this fucking moment you ARE already watching a film. You are perfectly aware of what this film is about and that already makes a context. You EXPECT something from the scene and a soundtrack only intensifies this, but not makes this. So, don't tell me i am missing the point. You don't understand what I mean again. And this is exactly what I was gonna ask: do you enjoy listening to soundtracks? You do? But without knowing about the movie this soundtrack was made for?
  17. Of course, i know this. Does it make bringing it back now more possible?
  18. What I say is a soundtrack, in most of the cases, can only be perceived in the context of a film. There are only few of them that work as separate pieces. And IS, in my opinion, isn't one of them. Secondly, you are saying "soundtracks often have a capability of delivering a message without a movie", but then you give an example that only proves my point: "a movie situation where something is about to go to hell before it even happens just because of the soundtrack." A movie situation? So we are referring to a film as a context, aren't we? Next, " not to mention the fact that the music usually is what sets the mood for a scene." Definitely. All the time. This is the reason for using soundtracks. And again - it works in the context of the film. So, i don't understand what are you arguing against. I agreed that IS works well within the context of that film, while it's not that impressive as a separate piece. Not because it is a soundtrack. But because this soundtrack is not strong enough.
