They write the set. They could've done another jazz fest set. They could do that at all gigs. Hehe thought this would've been bad.

Not familiar with him but from a quick google my first reaction is: Do Muse really need to be more 80s?
He's done a lot of Scissor Sisters' and Kylie Minogue's work (from the mid 2000s) as well as producing Everything Everything's record. Decent producer but wouldn't want him producing Muse latest album as it would be an album full tracks like Starlight and Mercy.

Think Tjet's idea of Celldweller may be pretty good for that heavy electronic edge and for some extra (proggy) beef maybe have Amos and/or Acle (depending how majestic the album needs to be) from Tesseract as well.
Not very familiar with Celldweller's music but from what I've heard it sounds rather good.

Floor is amazing though. Only recently got into Nightwish but their latest album definitely is a gateway to their older stuff. Wouldn't have happened with Annette and Tarja's cover of Supremacy at Hellfest massively pissed me off.

Moshpits should only be allowed at the back of the standing floor, where there's space for people to run around if they must, and not at the front, where people are already squished together.
I'd love to see you in a tiny venue where even the smallest mosh pit takes up almost 3/4 of the standing floor

30 Seconds to Mars do this thing with their song, "The Kill". Jared starts it on acoustic, which is amazing I love the singalong... And then midway through it switches back to its rockier form. That could work with Starlight when the guitar kicks in toward the end.

Muse's festival tour productions are always great - the current one looks mega, as did the hexagons a few years ago.
Wasn't last years setup just the Psycho tour lights (think Fabri called them Ikea lights
) but with a generic LED screen behind?I hate to say it, but I really do prefer this stage to the 360 one.The 360 stage sucked.
