Yay finally got a reply from Matt
-
Rich Costey to remaster both records!
So they'll be no bass like on Ellipsis?
-
Yes it is a terrible setlist but could still be worse. At least there's no prelude into Starlight, or replacing The Handler with Revolt.
-
Think I read that MGMT did that for when they played Kids on their old tours (although 8 always reaf that their performances were pretty bad anyway).
-
People don't like Coma?
-
I know a lot of you guys don't like him but Devin Townsend should give him a few pointers for singing. No playback, audience interaction and complex vocals (whilst still playing guitar on every single song). Heck, the guy has been around longer than Matt and can still nail the operatic vocal style perfectly.
-
Really not a fan of the drums, probably a bit too hip hop for me. The filtering on the bass synth really pisses me off, it sounds far too muddy and messy, especially towards the end. It clashes far too much with everything else. I like cheese but the vocals are just embarrassing. Also those strings just sound like incredibly basic, like something ripped from Garageband.
Got to admit that I like the 'woah' backing vocals and the guitar solo is alright (in comparison to the rest of the song but by no means makes the track redeemable), but the synths just don't sound good with this at all.

Now seeing (guitarless) Starlight on all these setlists seems nowhere near as bad.
-
I don't even care about them being heavy anymore. They can write minimal electronic music if they want, just make it good minimal electronic music.
Why can't they copy Radiohead again, hopefully they'd make some good music if they took some cue points from them. :'(

Bring back the drone pilot suits those jackets are making them look like Coldplay's parents.
-
The three songs will be played consecutively at every single show followed swiftly by Mercy and Starlight.
-
It's shit.
-
Never a good idea to mix or master your own work . Self producing on the other hand is completely normal.
-
Ugh what's the point of VR at gigs? Don't people actually want to see the band?
-
Surely synthwave is a better term?
-
Imagine if they did a collab with Gunship or Perturbator
-
Muse going synthwave?
-
Personally I think Matt is more of a Battlefield person.
In all honesty though, I hope they play CoD. Definitely the best out of their current (small) catalogue of acoustic songs.
-
I prefer Hesitant Alien to MCR's first teo albums.
-
I've always posted about hating that song, definitely my joint least favourite alongside Who Knows Who (can't stand the Streets or the music).
-
Anything like Map Of Your Head I will gladly have
I'd rather have an album made out of my dog barking (Alestorm are actually making an album with dog samples omg).
-
I remember Trent Reznor hetting angry when Biffy headlined and R&L and he'd never heard of them. Surely they would've known trrough contracts and stuff though that they weren't headlining?
-
I actually think I'd prefer Starshite and Mercy to Soaked, at least if they did play it - it'd be a change.
-
Competition to win gig tickets for every gig, shared by the band's page (so pretty sure it was legit). Won a meet and greet off this site before but because my mates couldn't go and I didn't really give a shit I didn't go.

'Origin of Muse'

Would actually rather if they'd do a Tesseract-esque rerecording/reimagining of the albums rather than a remaster.
In case you're wondering what the fuck I'm on about:
Original:

Rerecording:

Then again it would probably be awful to mess with the legacy of the albums.
