  1. Sometimes you just have to keep trying and refreshing during these presales. The tickets gradually appear as people search and decline them.
  2. Log into your store account and click Contact
  3. No explanation. I thought about the time difference but it was the email on my other account stating that the codes had been sent that raised a red flag for me.
  4. Problem solved. The store responded to my request very quickly with a code and the link. GREAT JOB MUSE STORE!
  5. I checked and there wasn't anything there. I received the emails regarding the order and shipping of the album as well as the email to reset the board password in my primary folder. I imagine that I'll be attending the same show as you at LCA. No way that show is going to sell out right away but it's still nice to snag the best possible tickets.
  6. Do you think that there would be a different batch of emails for North America than Europe? I received an email on a gmail account that the codes had been sent. My store account is actually registered to a different email address. That account did not receive the email with the code nor the follow-up one saying that the codes had been sent. I just contacted the store to inquire and I'm waiting on the response. It seems a shame that they left it so late to send the codes. Now we have these issues less than 24 hours before the pre-sale.
  7. I received a presale info email stating that the codes had already been sent out in a prior email except that I can't find any prior email. This is going well so far.
  8. It seems like people's opinion of the album hinges on how they rate Propaganda and BITM. Those who love those songs also favor the album. Similarly, folks who dislike those songs have not gotten on board with the album as a whole. Probably speaks to fans' willingness to follow the band in this particular direction. Those songs are the most polarizing from what I've observed.
  9. I feel like I missed some inside joke in these last 2 posts but somehow I still found them very funny. Bravo!
  10. I think the sticker is intending to say...Here's our new album featuring a couple songs that you've heard on the radio, Youtube or a playlist somewhere plus another song that you'll probably hear pretty soon.
  11. Arguing about opinions online is all pretty foolish so we can go with that on both sides. I half figured you were being sarcastic but the response was all too easy and obvious. No offense taken nor intended.
  12. "But it’s just obnoxious to keep suggesting that people’s negative opinions aren’t gonna last ‘cos...that doesn’t align with yours I guess?" So now who's judging people instead of music?
  13. I love RATM, Radiohead, Prince and The Handler but somehow I listen to BITM and think "What is this shit?" Go figure. On further reflection, here's my theory for what it's worth... I don't think Muse are tough and edgy enough to pull off RATM I think Muse have become too pop to pull off Radiohead I don't think Muse are soulful and funky enough to pull off Prince I think The Handler was just Muse being awesomely Muse and maybe that what they should stick with They can try to mash all of those elements into a 4-minute song but it sounds like a mess to me
  14. Well, I think you have different kinds of people, of course. Some know what they like right away and stay consistent with their views. Some gush over anything new but lose interest quickly. Others need patience and take more time to appreciate something. I'm hoping that I fit into the last category, at least as far as Simulation Theory is concerned, because I'm not really appreciating it so much out of the gate. I'm trying though.
  15. I agree with you completely. The dilemma for Muse is that audience reaction always seems to be their justification for not playing older material and rarities. What are they going to play if the newer songs don't elicit a strong response. Muse don't seem to be the kind of band to play what they want and let the crowd sort it out. At least not when they tour the US. They barely touch OoS here because people don't know the songs. What will their reaction be when people stand there in confusion as they plough through BITM?
  16. Hopefully, you're right. Muse don't need to be adding any more duds to their set lists. You already know that Dig Down will be a staple and "Get up and fight!" is the new "Love is our resistance!"
  17. I think Propaganda and Break It To Me have been the most wildly overrated tracks on the album. I can appreciate certain elements of each song but, taken as a whole, they're both complete messes. I honestly hope I'm wrong here but I can see both songs falling completely flat in concert.
  18. Agreed. Especially for those in the crowd who haven't heard the album yet. Surely be like...WTF is this?!?
  19. I'll go out on a limb and defend this one. Sure it's radio-friendly, positive-message power pop fluff but it's not all bad. A straightforward 4/4, soft verse/power chord chorus structure is kind of a welcome relief from all the electronic overkill mayhem elsewhere on the album. So what if it's better suited for Kelly Clarkson. It doesn't grate on me as much as listening to BITM. Of course, I admit to having a soft spot for Follow Me and Guiding Light as well. So there's that.
  20. Thanks for that. I haven't totally given up on the album yet. Hell, I shelled out for the box set because I'm a sucker for special editions, colored vinyl and all that nonsense. And $50 really wasn't such a bad deal for a nice package like that. I've been playing the album from Tidal so far and haven't even touched the vinyl. I suppose the LP's will force me to listen to all the tracks a little more since it isn't so easy to skip half of them.
  21. I wouldn't say that ST isn't Muse-y. It's dark and dystopian and spacey and all that. It just doesn't line up with my personal musical tastes. I applaud Muse for experimenting with their music but it means that certain forays are bound to alienate some fans. People are calling Break It To Me a high point on the album and a Muse classic. I can barely stand to listen to it. Maybe it's a well crafted song or maybe it's not but it's certainly nothing that I would want to hear. People lost their shit with the electronic, dubstep leanings of T2L. Love it or hate it, Madness was at least a well crafted pop song with great vocals, catchy groove, melodic guitar solo and a big emotional climax. Now here we are 6 years later and Muse have gone all-in with the electronics. Kudos to them for taking a risk but I'll take Madness and the rest of T2L any day over three-quarters of dull and/or unlistenable ST. If it puts my opinion in perspective, I'm old enough to remember the post New Wave electronic stuff of the 80's like Depeche Mode, the Cure, Erasure etc that Muse are drawing from here...and I didn't like it back then either.
  22. I've been listening to this album all evening trying to give it a chance but I find myself liking it less with each listen. My last run-through went kinda like this. Algorithm and The Dark Side are a great start. Pressure is catchy but ultimately forgettable. Propaganda is pretty awful. I listen to Break It To Me struggling to figure out why so many are raving about it. For me, it's terrible but to each their own. Something Human...skip Thought Contagion...skip Get Up and Fight...skip Blockades...better but still kinda forgettable Dig Down...yep still sucks, skip The Void is great but it only makes me want to skip the rest of the album more quickly to get to it. Not trying to be a turd in the punchbowl here but this album is destined to be my least favorite Muse album. I'm not surprised because I saw it coming from the early singles. That said, I won't begrudge others for enjoying it.
  23. Quality-wise, I suppose I'd put ST about on par with Drones. The biggest difference is that Drones was front loaded with the better songs in the first half while ST sprinkles them throughout the album. The more guitar-driven sound of Drones is more my cup of tea but the new album has its charms. Algorithm, The Dark Side and The Void have stood out so far for me. Blockades and Pressure are a notch below. Propaganda and Break it to Me, I'm not sure that I get at all. They're interesting to be sure but I haven't decided yet if I really want to listen to them. Get Up and Fight and Thought Contagion are kinda generic but not as grating on my ears as Dig Down or Something Human, both of which I prefer the alternate versions. At least, half the album will hold up well in concert depending on which half they decide to play.
