    I'll be satisfied if Dead Inside doesn't end up being Korn-like emo shite. I think something like Hysteria or TiRO with a bit of groove going on would be ace,as long as there isn't a lot of cheese on it.

    This. Well,I loved it at first listen mainly due to all the excitement... it's better than anything on TR or T2L,but it isn't as good as anything on Abso or OoS. It's BHaR level,if not a bit worse.

    When you compare Psycho to Closer,Psycho seems like a fuckin' lullaby ... Hurt is a masterpiece of a song,some incredible lyrics on it as well.

    Hard to disagree with that! Sounds like something Linkin Park or Korn would do... and I hate both of these bands.

    If anything I had the chorus (especially the "I'm gonna make you,I'm gonna break you" part) stuck in my head all day,went to the fuckin' bank to pay a bill and I was like silently singing "your ass belongs to me now",oh them scenes if I sang that out loud! :LOL:

    Of course not,it just sounds like some of his solos. Check Audioslave's "Show me how to live".has a kind of similar one.

    Showbiz - Overdue (I could choose many of Showbiz though... Sober,Escape also deserve a mention e.g.) OoS - Feeling Good (cheeeese) Absolution - Thoughts of a Dying Atheist (nothing enjoyable,nice song but not really one I'd even casually listen) BHaR - Exo-Politics (meh...) TR- Guiding Light,just because this song's a disgrace to humanity. T2L - Big Freeze,for the same reason as Guiding Light.

    On a serious note,I reckon Dead Inside will be in the perspective of the "drone soldier" on Psycho,like the start of his story. That is if there's a single concept in the album.

    Was immense at first listen but after 3-4 listens it isn't that great. I mean it's great,but some of the lyrics are plain cringe and it needs an actual solo,not that Tom Morello-wannabe guitar breakdown*,it would help it a lot,make it a bit less repetitive melody-wise.And the "drill sergeant" spoken stuff,well,take 'em out. All in all it's just a heavier,beefier Uprising. What Uprising wanted to be,but in no way was - don't tell me Uprising is actually heavy! - ... *Not the first Morello-ish thing Matt has ever done,has to be said.

    In my opinion the song feels like it belongs on BHaR... has similar vibes. Can see it being an opener-closer.
