Wait, where was it confirmed?
EDIT: Nevermiiind
No really, where?
-
I'd rather Costey than Mutt.
-
But there's nothing particularly bad about it, so in the grand scheme of muse songs I wouldn't personally consider it a guilty pleasure.
-
In before lock
-
Why would you open with something like that?
-
Some lady from a radio station would come out at intervals on the main stage and talk about how they wanted girls to feel safe at Leeds and that sexual harassment wouldn't be tolerated - got booed more and more each time she came on, almost giving up eventually. Bunch of dudes shouting shit like "what about us/what about the men?"
What the fuck...
-
Marginally related I suppose because they're touring together, but I'm rather surprised how much 30STM's new single reminds me of Dig Down.
Poppy, repetitious, vague/shallow political lyrics, and a full on gospel chorus.
Possibly more listenable, still, though.
I dunno. They're both pretty terrible, but at least Dig Down makes me chuckle.

Go to any open mic event and 9 out of 10 of the acts will sound exactly the same in terms of their guitar playing. Just generic strum, strummy strummers just about capable of changing chords in time with their song - if they want something to sound different they just play exactly the same chords/rhythm but with a capo on fret X...
This is a symptom of open mic's, not of acoustic guitars.
I would actually say that it's pretty boring It's definitely unique though. Ben Howard strikes a perfect combo of unique and interesting to me:Fair enough. Different strokes and all that. But you know, clearly there are a lot of interesting, unique things to do with any instrument, and making blanket statements like "acoustic guitar is boring" is silly.
This guy openly admitted he's a shit-spewing troll, and I'm not sure why anyone still engages with him.He said that, but I kinda feel like he's actually just a bit of a twat.

Acoustic is terrible. The best way to ruin an electric guitar based song is to do an acoustic version. It's like making that certain song as generic and tedious as possible.
When bands do acoustic albums, or unplugged sets, that is the worst possible way to share music with the audience. No uniqueness in sound at all. It just becomes boring and totally uninteresting.
This is a very boring song.
-
Still no response why acoustic sounds different... In fact I don't think you have an explanation besides offending me.
Because what you said is so ridiculous that there's really no point in arguing with it. If you don't think that anything interesting can be done with an acoustic guitar, than there's no helping you.
-
This time I was serious. Acoustic guitar is the most boring instrument ever. So generic. Sounds the same, no colour or uniqueness.
Out of all the stupid things you've said, this isn't the worst, or the most annoying, but it's definitely up there for being perplexing.

More likely to have been a judgment call based on the rest of the setlist. Eternally missed would have brought the flow to a crashing halt. It's good, but it doesn't quite have enough going on
Wha?
-
Your trolling used to be funny .
Did it?
-
When you put it that way it gives me some hope haha.
Me too. Hoping it's not the normal, give Melbourne the crazy set situation though.

I struggle to understand how they never ever played Glorious between 2006 and 2016.
Or why it was relegated to a B side...
-
That Glorious intro...
It was gorgeous.
-
Yeah I don't get it either.
-
That was great. Hopefully some of these songs stick around. I'd kill to see either Glorious, Easily, and Showbiz.
Interesting that Easily was omitted simply because it was recorded too late. It could have replaced the crap that is Exo-Politics.Can you imagine that though? Swap Exo-Politics for Easily, and Invincible for Glorious and it's a perfect pop rock album.
-
And 1 or 2 minutes shorter
Definitely.
-
Psycho would've been a great muse song had they written it about 10-15 years ago.
-
Seems cheaper just to fly to Sydney tbh.
At bumpy where did you hear it was last minute?
Oops, missed this before. An interview, but I wasn't paying much attention so I might be misinterpreting it.
-
It wouldn't be the first time the band has faced negativity from fans and countered it with promises of some fanservicey thing that never materializes...
How much of your comment history do you think is a variation of this?
-
I suspect it will be a very light production.
-
The Globalist. The vocal melody in the first part sounds very much like the vocal melody in Unnatural Selection.
Oh wow, yeah that's quite similar. Different enough for it not to be classified as stealing from themselves though, imo.

Cheers. Nice to know that they're working on a few tracks.
