The strings and synth mesh well on Aftermath, and the guitar tone develops nicely with the song. Is that Chris singing with Matt in the last chorus or is it Matt (I know what Simon would say but it sounds like Chris)

On 2nd listen, it's only the chorus/ pre-chorus that is immensely horrible. The rest is bearable.

Too early to make rounded opinions for me. But The Handler, Defector, Reapers and Dead Inside are the only top-tier tracks. The Globalist and Aftermath are cool too. Revolt and Drones will grow on me hopefully.

It's just that I've seen a lot of "first Muse song in years that sounds like proper Muse" or "hard rock Muse yeah" or "they're finally back" type posts. Idk.

Reapers was on the same level as this for me. Surprised this is the first song people are loving, when the two sort of have a similar vibe. I don't know. Opinions, I guess. Yeah.
