  1. Well I've been in their situation so I know how much it sucks to travel with a set of expectations, spending tons and to be let down. We were promised Micro Cuts/The Small Print "proper metal fest" for LA Rising (co-headlining with RATM), and we got the poppiest set of the 2011 dates.
  2. That kind of mentality was broken when Dead Star/Micro Cuts were promised, they followed up on Fury for Catherine, played all sorts of obscure material for the Psycho Tour, at least attempted Assassin on stage without rehearsal, played Hyper Music for us at the Mayan and followed up on Muscle Museum for the Brazil dates. He wasn't untrustworthy for quite a while up until now.
  3. To be fair, it would be shitty promising that girl Defector in Brussels (multiple night residency so I'd imagine she went to them) and not playing it there, but played it somewhere else. Defector in Brussels is just like Assassin in Belfast, except on a much smaller scale. Either of them are inexcusable though.
  4. I just mean I prefer the idea that they came to the decision on their own demonstrating exactly what we're complaining about.
  5. I expected an answer because they were asked coherently and nicely. I just hope that they werent seen before the decision to bring back Take a Bow/Citizen/Stockholm and Bliss as regulars.
  6. This. Sunburn on piano is pretty boring tbh, it's nice for the novelty of hearing a Showbiz-era song in 2016 but other than that, I'd rather hear pretty much anything else on piano except for Explorers.
  7. Wait, JFK into Interlude into Hysteria is a real thing? If they're playing Stockholm, why the fuck aren't they playing Hysteria first and putting Stockholm in the JFK slot? I'd at least understand if they were doing it when they had nothing to replace it, but Stockholm and Reapers are right fucking there.
  8. Caught something today, I had always assumed that the new stage was created/housed somewhere in California justifying the Winter NA dates, but apparently they were testing all of this in West Yorkshire. So.... Why did the freeze your ass off tour (fucking miserable for everyone involved) happen knowing that European dates require less notice and the gear was already there? I'd certainly imagine it would have helped ticket sales since some of the dates had little over a month of sales. It makes even less sense when you consider that they'll presumably be shipping that gear back through the US to get to Australia and Asia later this year in the Summer.
  9. A little recognition of the hardcore fans in the United States is really all I'm asking for, can't speak for the rest of the board but the difference between all the shows I went to versus recent European shows changes quite a bit. Reapers being played every night is a huge bonus with Stockholm/CE/Map/Hysteria in rotation really helps the "heaviness" of the show and UD being mostly gone also helps the show from painfully dragging on, especially when you're one of the unlucky few that gets Resistance/Revolt/Feeling Good without the consolation prize of CE/Map and Reapers. The US got 2-5 songs less than the bigger European arena shows, but in their defense, less people that paid significantly less than European crowds. Same goes for the BH&R tour, 15ish songs versus Europe's 18-19. To be honest I don't think the United States has ever been treated that well when it comes to show length until The Resistance tour (and even that had a dropped song slot from what I recall)
  10. Just saw the setlist, Reapers+SS+CE is extremely solid. Personally I would've moved Reapers into the JFK+Revolt slot and used Revolt for Map or Take a Bow but I'd certainly walk out happy from that gig.
  11. Replying to this a bit late but it's not as if "being exhausted from being on tour" is an excuse for any of this considering it's been like this since the first dates of the US tour. Can't speak for what Mexico was like since I wasn't there.
  12. I just saw New Order in Vegas and even though I've listened to their studio albums a billion times and I've seen them live before, it was new because they play their older stuff completely differently. True Faith 1987 2015 Muse can clearly do the same. Look at how they've completely reworked Muscle Museum/Falling Down/Sunburn/Cave
  13. Americans love to get fucked in the ass as consumers when there's profit to be had, but they're not selling on the barrier and I don't know why. I can guarantee that hiring a water guy to walk the barrier would be more than profitable at $4 a bottle, hell raise it a dollar for people on the barrier because we're desperate. Two sales to cover that guy's hourly wage? These venues are so overstaffed too, send one of them to sell water to the people who are about to pass out from heatstroke.
  14. They certainly don't in Phoenix Arizona where it's 40 degrees plus the temperature of being on the floor in a closed arena. This would be okay if they were actually selling on the barrier, but they make you leave and security won't let your friends hold your spot.
  15. I'm saying that it's quite ridiculous to complain when the complaints are about a show like this. Great Absolution-era piano song. Heavy opener, two fan favorite rock songs. 1 track off Origin of Symmetry, nothing "bad" off the latest album and a bunch of fan favorites (though I'd argue Starlight can burn in the pits of hell at this point) The only real problem I take with that list of songs is UD, there's no reason for that, especially after they've replaced it with Take a Bow. Despite the short length of the gig, that is at least comparable to the festivals with bigger/better visuals and The Globalist which is what everyone was expecting going into these arena shows. People keep talking about it being a hit-based show but outside of Starlight/Time is Running Out/Undisclosed Desires/Madness/Resistance/Uprising and Knights (deservedly), where are they? That's 7/17. More than acceptable for arena acts, I'd only take issue with the show if the album material wasn't any good.
  16. "Wahh they haven't played in Sweden for two tours, I have to hop on a plane which cost me less than a hundred dollars to get to their next six night residency" At least if you traveled for a gig you'd get a good one. Want to trade places with me?
  17. I'm just saying let's get back to reality here, what you guys got is more than acceptable for a Muse arena set. If they added a couple more songs it'd be perfect. There was hardly any "pop" in the show last night and I thought the lack of heaviness for a rock band gig was the complaint here.
  18. Also I agree. Why the fuck did Panic Station and especially Supremacy come back? Doesn't make any sense when there's variety in the requests. I really hope this tour kills the "US deserves what they get mentality" when they're getting shit reactions to everything everywhere. https://www.instagram.com/p/BA_fIlEnwlY/
  19. Assasssin not being played was shitty but that was better than 90% of the shows in the US and better than every single one of the six shows I got. Reapers, Stockholm Plug In Baby, Apocalypse Please? I'd be happy with that.
