About Chez from Somerset

  • Birthday 06/27/1978

Personal Information

  • Biography
Short, single, but bizarrely for financial reasons I'm still having to live with my ex. NOT GOOD :-( Run a Rock 'n' Roll Club, am a Rock 'n' Roll DJ, present a Rock 'n' Roll radio show and teach Rock 'n' Roll dancing.
  • Location
    Taunton, Somerset, UK
  • Interests
Rock 'n' Roll stuff but that's more like a part time job these days than a hobby.
  • Occupation
Mind numbingly boring, you won't be interested, I'm not!
  • Gender
    Female
  • Show Flash Content
    Yes
  • Facebook
    http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1349085456&ref=profile
  • Favourite Bands
Apart from Muse I tend to like genres rather than particular bands. Rockabilly, Rock 'n' Roll, 50's RnB, Doo Wop etc.
  • Favourite Films
I get bored by films very quickly so don't tend to watch them.
  • Favourite TV Shows
Don't really watch TV but I will watch Strictly Come Dancing when it's on and Most Haunted is always good for a laugh :-) History Channel has some interesting programs though.
  • Favourite Books
I know it's not very Rock 'n' Roll but I do enjoy Victorian novels. I'm currently nearing the end of Middlemarch.
  • Muse Releases Owned
All the albums and other bits and bobs, videos etc but it all lives on my i-Pod these days.
  • Muse Concerts Attended / Attending
Only a couple but I've seen loads of bands in my 'insert your guess here' years on this planet and I have to say, hand on heart, the Saturday Teignmouth gig was the best I've ever experienced in my life. In fact I may as well just kill myself now coz life won't ever get any better than that day :-)

  1. StarlightNight, yay when's your birthday or have you already got your jacket? Completely understand what you mean about feeling powerful and bad ass in your jacket. I only feel good when I'm in my Rockabilly clothes. I'm completely out of my comfort zone when I have to wear 'normal' clothes for work, which is why I always try to get some Rockabilly element in somewhere :-) By the way I love the new profile picture, I'm a cat fan :-) We're still waiting out on these hunky Greaser guys though :-(
  2. Well, great ;) Best way to fix that is to unload your brain.

By all means, unload them in the open... share.... here... or there...

I'd say, there must be a thread for this. Or shoot be...

To be or not to thread.

  3. Hey there Starlightnight and everyone. I can't claim to be a writer but I do go through phases where silly little poems just keep popping into my brain, so I have to write them down. Last night at midnight I dreamt up a poem about Muse in five minutes flat and had to take a pen and paper to bed because I kept waking up with rhymes in my head, although they're more Purple Ronnie than Shakespeare! Today: I can’t stop thinking in rhyming verse, it just won’t stop and it’s getting worse!
  4. Hi there, I'm fine thanks, but my brain keeps dreaming up stupid poems! Have a great day, Chez :-)

  5. Just a genuine "Hi how are you doing today!" :-)

  6. Hey StarlightNight, got the message. Good idea about dressing as a Greaser and encouraging others to join us. I'm already doing my small bit in that case; I wear my biker boots to work every day, with my business suit! A few days ago I bought some new chains, a nice heavy long triple row but I doubt I'd get away with that in work Being a Rockabilly I do 'Grease' of the 1950's variety rather than modern 'Grease' and dress like that whenever I'm not in work, but I think I'll make more of an effort to add Muse into the mix, i.e. put some Muse badges on my jacket, carry my Muse bag rather than a Rockabilly one etc to try to become more of a Greaser of Muse!
  7. Yay, go Greaser girls go, but's where's the hunky Greaser guys? I think we could be facing an uphill struggle in our quest for greasy domination! LOL :-)
  8. Yay that's fine then. Just saw the picture was all men! Being a vegetarian myself I don't do the leather thing but I have got my eye on a nice faux lether jacket at the mo! I usually stick to denim. I'm from Taunton in Somerset, UK.
  9. Okay first we dress like a greaser...and try to convince others to....idk ! Ahhh I just think I'm a badass and fucking INVINCIBLE when I wear my leather jacket! Aye1 We only live once so might as well define ourselves and live a happy life? Any ideas Ms. Somerset!??? :)

  10. So what's the plan for domination then and when do we start! :-)

  11. Lol thanks for joining my group!

  12. I know I'm a girl but I've got loads of greaser friends. Can I join your group??? :-)
  13. Oh I wish mine was as exciting as some of these! A few days before Teignmouth, I dreamed I went to the gig and I knew it would be small but it turned out to be in a village hall with no stage and a few wooden chairs. The audience was just me and a few OAPs who had no idea of who Muse were. The band hadn't prepared anything and just said OK what would you like us to play. Nobody spoke so as I was at the front I whispered, "I like Knights of Cydonia" so they said "OK we'll do that". But when the music started it was all wrong and when Matt started singing it just wasn't anything I'd heard before. While I was wondering if I should say anything they stopped and I said "shall I sing a bit to remind you"? Matt just said to me "I'm really sorry I've completely forgotten how it goes" and ran outside and that was that. Luckily at the real gig they didn't forget how to play it :-)
  14. Just wanted to pop in and say hello fellow vegetarians
