- Endlessy (possibly)
Haha that's not going to happen.

Frankly, they don't need to play all the hits at every gig. There are loads of songs that are practically exactly the same in terms of being a singalong, or using balloons, clapping along etc. Basically I'd be okay if they did these rotations on the next tour (just examples, cba writing them all down):
Bliss - Plug In Baby (balloons, singing along etc)
Resistance - Starlight (both are equally uninteresting and fill the same purpose)
Map of the Problematique - MK Ultra (Works well enough)
New Born - Unnatural Selection (Obvious. Only if Matt plays the intro though, and they play it slightly faster, otherwise New Born can go die in a fire)
TIRO - Hysteria (Also fairly obvious)
Agreed except just drop Resistance, doesn't have anything going for it live. Starlight is actually a bit better. I don't dislike hearing any of their regularly played hits (except to some extent Resistance), but they're all* just...there. Even Hysteria - the bass intro was great, same with the solo, but the rest of the song I barely remember. Maybe I've heard them on YT too many times. But I definitely agree, they really can swap around a lot of these.
*well not motp and some others

They have to open some concerts with AP! It's 2012!
Yeah I do wonder if that will come back for a few shows this tour. It's been too long
-
Most of their discography would be the best of the night when it's Muse.
I don't know what you mean here, unless you mean Citizen Erased could be easily replaced by almost most of their songs? I can't tell...
-
It was one of the best songs of the night when I saw it, but its extreme prevalence in the poll results at the expense of equally good songs was a bit odd.
-
With any luck there'll be more variety of songs on this tour, given Muse seemed to eager to fall back on the classics on the last tour.
What I thought last time...what I thought.
-
The Agitated riff works really well after SS (I think that was when it was). However, it's disappointing when it ends.
-
Personally I'm a pretty big fan of Rock am Ring 2010 Bliss. And the whole gig, for that matter.
-
Plug in Baby
Hysteria
Stockholm Syndrome (next song on the way out)
Time is Running Out
Starlight
Supermassive Black Hole
Knights of Cydonia
Uprising
Resistance
Undisclosed Desires
I'm sure all of those will be played next tour; unless UD or Resistance "does an Invincible" and is never played again! *hopes*
Dom loves SS, I don't think it will be going soon. He does have some influence, whatever people here may say.

Well on that topic, I think Pearly is one of the most Muse-ish songs that Radiohead have. Particularly the ending part.

I'll admit I'm a bit dubious about some of these choices, but on the whole...
Btw the order in which I did the albums does not mean anything.
-
Well if they do play Sonaphier next year this had better be on the set list;MK Ultra with School outro is amazing, it really finishes the song off perfectly, just what it needed .
P.S. I don't have a YouTube account so can't embed the video .
Muse were great at those festivals. Love the scream in this And the performance of Bliss is ace
And Unnatural Selection...why did they drop it? :'( This is the best performance I've seen of it, simply immense. I loved Newborn when I saw it but I can now see Dee's point that it would be a much better live song.

Knights of Cydonia #44
Little Lion Man #43
Can't say I agree.

I actually prefer the live version of Screenager on the Bliss single to the studio version or the Hullabaloo version. It's so haunting. I don't know how it's much different to the Hullabaloo version, it might have something to do with the drums sounding a lot softer... I'm not sure.
I thought they were the same versions.
-
Screenager is one of the best from OOS.
I'll take Hullabaloo Screenager over the studio version anyday.
-
Blackout is more than merely 'nice'. And HAARP gets way too much flak; sure it had its flaws but a lot of the performances are fantastic.
-
HTAILY is good (though I haven't listened to it in a while, probably should do that again soon), however I will say that it is probably their worst closer by a pretty wide margin.
Indeed. Megalomania, however, is underrated and their best closer by a pretty wide margin. Even though it feels odd after Feeling Good.
-
My favourite part by far is the outro, which is beautiful, but after that I'd have trouble picking any one part. Obviously the section when the song first kicks in is worthy of mention. Speaking of which, got to love the different riff Matt uses at Wembley (Think it was at my gig as well) when the song kicks in again after the middle section.
-
I'm not saying it's the ONLY good part, I'm saying that CE is extremely overrated, but the ending is amazing.
Hey, this is the controversial opinions thread, isn't it?
Are you regurgitating my posts from six months ago? But you'll come around eventually.
-
But yes...
It looks like you're not...
*puts on glasses*
Sober.
YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHH!
Speculation on future gigs/tours

I'm guessing that they won't get any more expensive over here. It was $130 last time, and even Coldplay (who are obviously more popular than Muse) are in the $120-140 price range when they tour here (IIRC). Radiohead are also somewhere around there. I can't speak for England though.
