  1. Voted for Muscle Museum, Showbiz, Citizen Erased, Megalomania, Stockholm Syndrome, Butterflies & Hurricanes, Starlight, Invincible, Resistance and Madness. And the encore song would be Unsustainable (I didn't vote for that though.) Not necessarily because they're my favourite, but they showcase the wide range of music Muse can do.
  2. I'm not the biggest fan of Cave, MK Ultra or Uno, but there are definitely worse songs one can find by Muse (ehem Overdue?) I agree with Explorers though, and can understand Endlessly (though it's recently one of my favorites).
  3. The 10 songs with the most votes as the worst Muse song released on a studio album, as voted by 51 participants on this board: Overdue (32 votes) Guiding Light (29 votes) Save Me (25 votes) Fillip (14 votes) Soldier's Poem (12 votes) Sober (11 votes) I Belong to You + Mon Cœure S'ouvre A Va Toix (10 votes) Undisclosed Desires (9 votes) Big Freeze & Explorers (8 votes) And for anyone wondering, here's the rest of the tally: Escape & Thoughts of a Dying Atheist — 7 Endlessly, Feeling Good & Madness — 6 Falling Down, Starlight & Unintended — 5 Falling Away with You, Prelude, Screenager & Take a Bow — 4 Exo-Politics, Invincible, Resistance & Supermassive Black Hole — 3 Assassin, Intro, Survival & The Small Print — 2 Blackout, Dark Shines, Exogenesis Part 1: Overture, Exogenesis Part 2: Cross-Pollination, Exogenesis Part 3: Redemption, Follow Me, Hoodoo, Hysteria, Liquid State, New Born, Ruled By Secrecy, Showbiz, Stockholm Syndrome & Uprising — 1
  4. I'd say among the opening songs, Take a Bow was the most effective in setting mood for an epic album, although not all of the songs that followed suit were able to hold up. Supremacy was pretty good as well, and you can get a taste of the camp in that album even from that song. As for the closing song, Megalomania wins it for me. It is one of my top songs by Muse period, and I think it serves well as a closer for what is arguably Muse's best album. It's tough to say what would be runner-up. Both Exogenesis: Symphony Part 3 (Redemption) and Ruled by Secrecy are decent closers in keeping with the tone of the rest of the respective album. It feels like there's been a thread with a similar intention, but I tried using the search bar and came up with jack squat, so apologies if there really is.
  5. I'd like to do another survey, and the question is pretty obviously stated in the title. Only a couple things to note that will hopefully warrant having this thread. SHOWBIZ (1999) 5. Sunburn 4. Escape 3. Muscle Museum 2. Showbiz 1. Hate This & I'll Love You ORIGIN OF SYMMETRY (2001) 5. Space Dementia 4. Bliss 3. Micro Cuts 2. Megalomania 1. Citizen Erased ABSOLUTION (2003) 5. Endlessly 4. Butterflies & Hurricanes 3. Hysteria 2. Stockholm Syndrome 1. Falling Away with You BLACK HOLES & REVELATIONS (2006) 5. Supermassive Black Hole 4. Invincible 3. Starlight 2. Take a Bow 1. Hoodoo THE RESISTANCE (2009) 5. Resistance 4. I Belong to You + Mon Cœuere Souvre A Va Toix 3. Exogenesis: Symphony (Part 2, Cross-Pollination) 2. Exogenesis: Symphony (Part 1, Overture) 1. Exogenesis: Symphony (Part 3, Redemption) THE 2ND LAW (2012) 5. Liquid State 4. Animals 3. Panic Station 2. Madness 1. The 2nd Law: Unsustainable
  6.  I can understand GL being in the list, I can accept IBTY being in the list, but the other 3?! Seriously, worse than Overdue?   Personally, I find TSP to be one of Muse's worst song, so much so that I've forgotten why – I think I mainly don't like the chorus. But TOADA is an underrated gem.
  7. Okay so I tallied the votes, I did not include the votes of anyone who posted 4 songs, or songs from other albums, or the same song repeated 5 times. So far, based on 39 total voters, the songs that get at least 5 votes are as follows: And before you ask, I was having a very free morning.
  8. Inspired by the Soaked thread of course. Electric for me. The guitar is just fucking awesome, and makes the song sound much more epic. The acoustic one is good as well (one of my favorite songs from the album), but ultimately it sounds like a watered down version of the song. The electric one really should've been included in an album, or works just as fine as a B-side too, but to not get any release is a bad idea.
