A lot of people compare Break It To Me to RATM but the whole song reminds me of ATS-era Linkin Park, especially the ending. When They Come For Me or Wretches and Kings.
This, exactly. Even the vocal melody of the verses sounds LP/Chester-ish to me.
Loved ATS by the way, for me LP definitely hit the right spot there.

Am I the only one that doesn’t really get the Blockades hype?
I think the solo's pretty great but other than that, definitely not as outstanding as Algorithm, Propaganda and Break it to Me and The Void. Do enjoy it though.
-
Actually the reason I like the Alternate version less is because it makes me think of the Spider-Man game soundtrack

wuuub wuuub wuuub wub wub wubwubwubwubwuuuubwuuub.
Unf.

Like a cock, we are caged.

I like both, but prefer the album version because, as other have mentioned, it fits the album better and I also think the intro builds up wonderfully. That part when the staccato strings come in. Fuck yes.
-
Everyone’s gonna talk about how funky and rude this is but let’s not forget that the best part is one bit that isn’t the chorus.
Holy shit, what an amazing part.
You mean the awesome descending vocal line at the end of each chorus in that delicious Phrygian scale?
-
It's amazing. Love it.
-
You mean it's bad or it's just that good you're dying
It's amazing, I'm shocked haha.
-
Propaganda's chorus though. Shit.
-
Ok, listened to it for a first run on laptop speakers. Definitely liked it but also left me in a state of WTF.
Now gonna relisten with headphones on.

It's only 1 MONTH
until
Simulation theory !!
Getting really excted! Another single before that, which one? Propaganda or Algorythm?
To be honest I hope they don't release another song before the album comes out. I've heard enough to get an idea of where they're going, and I would like most songs to actually be new when I first play the album.

Haha yeah I wanted to make it versatile but still relatively straightforward in terms of use, so the mojo switches were a really nice addition.
Current tuning is drop A (so AEADGBe), with a .70 gauge for the lower string and 10-52's for the rest. Will probably also use it in standard B, but yeah .
First I was planning on having a clear finish on the neck, but because there was some sort of glue residue near the neck join (circled in the first 2 pics) we decided to go for satin black instead.
-
That's awesome, do you have any work in progress pictures? It's not the one that had the three piece maple neck with ebony strips is it?
Here is a bunch of pics the guys sent me.
As you can see Tim actually decided to pick a different scratch plate at the end because it looked better, and I'm glad he did

Yep, all mine!
When I dropped by the workshop 6-ish months ago I asked about their plans on future runs of 7-string E-shapes, and Adrian mentioned that they had this spare body lying around, completely 'naked' still, just a bit of paint residu on it. So after mailing back and forth for a bit about the possibilities and what I'd like on such a guitar I decided to go for it and make it my very own custom E-shape 7 string.
I always thought the Xenokroma finishes looked amazing so I saw my chance and took it And Tim has done a fantastic job in creating the look that I had in mind, so I couldn't be happier!

@nerd herd
You like it?
Should be shipped over to me soon
Anyone know how long that usually takes? I live in The Netherlands so distance wise it's not that far.
-
I do. I could see this fitting with songs like The Small Print, Thoughts of a Dying Atheist, and The Groove.
Wtf
-
For Matt?
Nope for me:LOL:

I like the verses of SH, especially when things pick up a bit more and it all gets a bit more groovy.
However I really hate the excessive pronunciation of HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHUMAN, HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHUMAN in the choruses. I mean, come on.

Comparisons made to Muse songs:
Assassin, Bliss, Darkshines, Easily, Endlessly, Eternally Missed, Fillip, Forced In, Madness, Map of the Problematique, Micro Cuts, Panic Station, Plug In Baby, Space Dementia, Take A Bow, The Gallery
It's funny because if Matt or a journalist would use these songs to describe TDS I don't think anyone would've guessed correctly what it sounds like.

If anyone's wondering where you can find The Dark Side: It's already on youtube.
-
Because once you release a greatest hits, 95% of the time you're admitting you're past your prime, and Muse are still trying to get on the radio.
a few artists that made one before releasing some of their best material:
Eagles
Foo Fighters
RHCP
Also Radiohead I guess. Or do we not speak of that one?

Help please! Which letter or [ is wrong?? Seems I forgot it again..
I think it's supposed to be something like:

But without the spaces.

You must have been living under a rock then because I saw a slot of people mentioning Prince.
