  1. I get to listen to it Friday regardless.. Having it earlier would just mean I get to have a soundtrack on the way to work for the rest of the week! Wouldn't mind a high quality CD rip. Already preordered it anyway so no guilt there.
  2. How about when that "itunes tracklist leak" came out.. Everyone gullible idiot on there defending each other swearing that "IT'S REAL!!", and everyone informing them that every fucking 12 year old script kiddie can right click and go inspect element got downvoted...
  3. Pretty much nailed the demographic there. Anyone who didn't like reapers got insulted with "you're deaf" or "you're pretentious".. it's just impossible to have any form of discussion there. Don't wanna sound elitist, but its just full of scrubs who all think they're the biggest fan out.
  4. The sub used to be good, now half the threads are absolute shit real time examples: "Drones is an acquired taste" -" I can't stop listening to Psycho, Dead Inside and Mercy and now Reapers" Great discussion topic here! "Does anyone else think that the Reapers lyric video is actually really really good and well made?" Thank god for Paranoidandroids marking the thread as "literally nobody" "Small realization I've made about Reapers..." "This may seem unimportant, but at BBC's Radio 1 Big Weekend, when Muse opened with Reapers, the background screen was playing the music video for Reapers. IDK why, but I think that is pretty neat." Definitely worth opening a whole entire thread about! "I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!!!!" "So uh I guess our official motto is now "HERE COME THE DRONES" " "I Want It NOW" Speaks for itself... Do I need to say more?
  5. Ahh I see. Judging by the Big Weekend gig, I'm fairly happy with how Reapers turned out. Psycho, despite all its cheesiness, actually looks like a blast live. Hopefully the rest of the album has a few more tracks like them.
  6. I think the statement was misinterpreted more than anything. When I heard CE pt 2 and the 030503 riff I got a little too hopeful that they weren't gonna release something disappointing.. The first half of the album is extremely disappointing, and from descriptions so far I'm gonna guess the rest of it is just as disappointing and/or forgettable
  7. Drones - the most forgettable album since T2L I should really never trust Muse's word when they say they're going back to a particular sound, just makes me disappointed man
  8. Guess I shouldn't get too butthurt about it until I hear it in context with the rest of the song.
  9. From the Italian interview recently linked on reddit: "For half the song it recalls Radiohead, prior to the beginning of sound that marks the countdown to destruction, when they return to the electric guitars." That hint towards a countdown enough? EDIT: Latest NME interview: "‘The Globalist’ sees the same ex-drone operator – finally having thrown off the yoke of his oppressors – becoming his own ultimate dictatorship-of-one. Long and loud, it’s up there with the wiggiest things they’ve ever done: ‘Knights of Cydonia’ maximalism that begins with two minutes of soft Ennio Morricone style violins and whistling, climaxing a full six minutes later with a countdown from ten to the actual end of the actual world. " Globalist confirmed to be ruined by Muse's shit concepts
  10. Unsustainable, Isolated System, protesting/shouting people in Animals, Psycho (the worst use of them IMO)... I just honestly hate the direction they are taking. I'm sure the rest of The Globalist will actually be good, but I just can't stand the use of samples in their music. It just sounds dodgy to me.
  11. I sure hope as fuck that countdown isn't the real thing. Sounds gimmicky and I hate all these edgy samples. When will Muse take their music seriously again?
  12. "The first half sounds like something from a film, then it goes to a middle section that’s metal then the outro is a big piano ballad,” This is a direct quote from Matt from some interview. Maybe everything he says is actually literal? Like the first half being literally from a film.
  13. I definitely agree. The lyrics are so much better in this compared to the majority of the last couple of albums. Makes me feel a bit better about Psycho's unfortunate debut. Honestly I think this is a huge step in the right direction. Ok, it might not be OoS MKII: The Experience: The Musical, but it's definitely what I was looking for. I actually found the chorus to be quite enjoyable, and reckon the falsetto will improve significantly throughout the tour/on the studio version. It might not fit in with the song entirely but at least its not Psycho
  14. Wait until the studio version drops, the vocals could have a completely different vibe to them. But you're definitely right about Matt's voice, he just can't quite cut into the mix as well as he used to back in pre-BHaR days
  15. I think I have much more hope for this album after hearing Reapers. Psycho really was a disappointment IMO. Guitar solo is a little overblown but doesn't ruin the song. Actually really like the chorus. I just think the tapping intro sounds a little out of place.
  16. Hey guys I have recently purchased a Digitech Rp355 I have made myself a rough Muse-y patch that is more Matts OoS-Absolution tone but I would rather have individual patches for each song. So... anyone know any good rp355 patches? or a good way to convert older rp patches (rp250, 255, 350, etc) which I have tried doing and failed :/ Thanks for anyone who considers reading my post
