  1. Honestly, I'm enjoying this a lot at the moment. Musically BH&R might still have the edge, but I'm a sucker for flowing albums and this albums flows the best since Absolution.

And the run from Dead Inside up to Defector is the most consistent since OoS for me at the moment.

  2. What the fuck is up with the guitar sound in that pre-chorus though?

Without the pre-chorus, the Queen backing vocals and the line 'how did we get in so much trouble?' I wouldn't have an issue with this song.

  3. Oh great now you're choosing which songs do and do not fit into the Drones storyline when it's convenient. Either it's all Drones, or no Drones. I forbid stepping in the middle ground...

It has been presented as such since the first snippets of information we got. No one cares what you forbid or not.

  4. It works incredibly well where it is placed on the album though, even instrumentally it feels like the 'credits' song of a story really. Whic is a nice change to putting a song like this in the middle of an album like they did on BH&R and TR.

  5. Best ballad type song they did since Invincible. I just wish that sing-along backing vocals in the end wasn't there when the guitar work really kicks in, it just keeps on going and going.

  6. I don't know, I think instrumentally it's sounding fine but Bells turned into Freddie Mercury again. Slap some OoS era style vocals on this, and it wouldn't be that bad I think.

  7. I never really have gone in depth with the setlist changes before so no idea if this is viable or not

Is there a chance that once Drones is out, so for the rest of the festival tour, they would largely change the set lists perhaps to compliment the album? Or would they keep it the same mostly maybe just adding 2-3 extra Drones tracks

(My incredible optimism is praying for something like Showbiz -> The Handler)

Probably not, however songs like Assassin and Apocalypse Please would immensely complement the songs from Drones live.

But despite being the headliner of many festivals throughout Europe, they still seem to think that people only come to their gigs for their most popular hits. Really wish they would start switching around more, they're big enough of an act to do it.

  8. True, but the MA is the closest you´ll get quality wise. Also, wonder what he is saving those corts for.

    Edit:

    Saving them for himself...

 Wanted to photoshop gollum face on him but nah, exam..

I'm guessing he's saving them for what he does best, launching guitars towards Dom's face. Wouldn't be surprised he gets a PTSD attack after this tour when he sees a Cort hanging in a guitar shop.
