  1. That does sound like it's in better condition, I would go for it.

  2. I hadn't read through the description properly, it is a little cryptic, I would give that one a miss personally. Do keep an eye out for broken LC-As, if you register an account here, you can send them faulty ones along with this form and get back €100 for each one to spend in their shop, find two, and you can get a brand new LC-A+ for €50 or a refurbished original (if/when they restock) for free.

  3. No worries, if you want any more info about analogue cameras, just ask. :)

  4. Yeah, I got lucky with a buy-it-now, Nic had to wait about a month to find one at a decent price, there is this one that hasn't gone up to ridiculous prices yet. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lomo-LC-A-35mm-camera_W0QQitemZ170256856886QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item170256856886&_trkparms=72%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

You can sometimes find them in old school camera shops as well, I can check in the one in Edinburgh next time I'm through, if you've not found anything by then.

  5. Right, simply put, the Lomo LC-A is the camera you want, 32mm wide angle lens in a tiny compact body, the lens is a bit special with how it treats light, it lets in so much more than other compacts. You can get one off ebay for about £55, that's about how much both Nic and I paid for ours, if you take the ebay route, look out for ones with a "Zenith" sticker on the front , these were the ones imported to the UK between 1986 and 1991, and they were stripped down and checked on arrival, so they are arguably of better quality than standar ones. You can buy a fisheye adapter, or "tunnel-vision" adapter (that one comes with a macro attachment), from the lomography shop, both are Japanese lenses of good quality. You can also buy the new LC-A+ from there, it costs about £200, but bundles with accessories are available if you want to spend that much, with that, another lens option is available, the super-wide adapter. Standard hotshoe, any flash will work, I use a "Colorsplash" because I got it for free, Nic uses a cheap "Starblitz" from ebay, that works well and is compact. Rated for film between 25 and 400 ISO, but I've seen 800 and 1600 pushed (the LC-A+ is rated for upto 1600 i think). I think that's about all, and I think this is the longest visitor message ever.

  10. It's the least I can do. It's perfectly understandable that this has got to you, it's one of those things that does to most people. Talking always helps, so I'm always here if you need someone. x

  11. I definitely saw you then. I only managed to stay awake till the bottom of the fifth, just couldn't manage to see the whole game.

  12. I think I just saw you on TV. Hope you have fun at the game.

  13. Never heard of it :erm: Look up a Russian author called Boris Akunin, he writes a series of novels about a character named Erast Fandorin. He writes in a similar manner to Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle. They are brilliant reads.

  14. Tut tut Kaddy, forgetting important things now :p

  15. Remembered yet?
