Gern geschehen ;)

So here is my translation of the introduction (first apge):

Planet Muse

Much is being said and written about Muse’s new Album „Black Holes & Revelations“ – especially about innovations, changes, overthrowing. Fact is, during 4 years since „Absolution“ the 3 protagonists developed: as musicians, as characters and humans. That’s what this Story is about.

The basis for this were three very personal one-to-one interview’s with Drummer Dominic Howard, Bass player Chris Wolstenholme and frontmann Matthew Bellamy whose statements shall stand for themselves here.

Three characters and their way with MUSE, their role, their interests and their relationships to each other.

Text by: Sascha Krüger

After this paragraph does not tell anything interessting I decided to leave out the parts where they are talking about things we already knew from now on. I'll mention it in square brackets [] and maybe translate it later but I think there are so many personal statements you are interessted in even more

Oh and if someone would like to correct my translation concerning grammar and language...I'd be really thankful. I'm really worse on those things :chuckle:

Thanks

My english teachers were trying to tell me this erm... for 8 years?

Guess it's because the german word "interessant" is spelled with 2s's :chuckle:

It's ok, I studied German for four months so far and already forgot it all.

So now for everyone else to read:

Dominic – the Now-Adult

[left out paragraph: Dom saying, that they were touring for 2 years again wich wasn’t planned and how this time was filled with good and bad times. He describes how the evening of Glastonbury 2004 (when is father died) is a perfect copy of their up and down life during this time. He uses the words „surreal“ and sth that could be translated as „emotion-fair“]

…(line 19) The good thing about it was that I really got to know my friends – it was astonishing how many of my so-called friends didn’t knew how to react on this tragedy.

Chris has been a great support/backup during this time – he lost his father when he was 17 years old. Because of this he knew that you don’t need to say anything – it’s enough when somebody is there to wrap his arms around you when you need someone to do so.

Strangely this death made me more confident – because when you’re losing someone you were so close with you learn to appreciate the things you have even more.

[left out paragraph from line 33 until 61: Dom telling the magazine about Matt’s accident during their US-tour, Chris’s broken wrist and the gashes on his face after Matt hit him with the guitar neck being in one of his well-known frenzys :chuckle: Dom says that they really thought that they should give up on america or on touring in general and that these incidents were a „sign“ :wtf:]

…(line 62)But the challenge is [the german version uses the word „Art“ but I don’t think there is an english equivalent for this phrase] to see the positive side in all of this tragedies. Depending on this I definately matured from all that. Especially the band helped me – with the concerts we were playing, the feedback we’ve got. First of all I’ve learned to value the plain aspect of time you’ve got left.

[left out paragraph from line 76 until 99: It’s about the process of making BH&R and how they said to themeselves that it needs to be sth new that’s even suprising themselves. He’s also talking about this sepcial „conncetion“ between the band members and how they intuitively knew what’s „right“. He’s talking about „variety“ and how there has never been more experiments when writing an album.]

…(line 100) What else do I want to achieve? For example I want to make a diving instructor licence. Deep-sea diving is my new passion. You can’t be closer to the feeling of being in the endless dimensions of the universe. There is such a different world existing underwater, right here on this planet. And it’s great to feel weightless – that’s a state I’d rather feel non-stop.

I hope it's okay for you that I sum up certain paragraphs. It's faster than translating and you really don't miss anything special

<--- Iz now going on with the Chris interview
