With regards to the exams, according to AQA, GCE's (AS and A levels) will mostly be finished by the 25th of June... which is the Friday... however, the odd subject does go on to the 28th-30th , such as:

Chemistry

Geography

Politics

Physics

Psychology

Sociology.

 

As for GCSE's... the following are after the 26th -27th weekend:

 

Biology/Chemistry/ Physics - screen test

Double Science awards screen test

 

Nothing too serious there...

 

Edexcel exams after the 26th-27th:

 

Mathematics two tier: Foundation and higher

 

Not many again...but I can't remember any of the other exam boards, it's been too long :$

 

But based on the ones I've seen, I doubt many are after that date... and I imagine most schools have "exam leave" so there shouldn't be too much trouble.

 

I can't help with University exams, there are too many variables, but by that age, you can work it out yourself :p

Train Journeys:

Birmingham to London would be roughly 1hr 30 to 2 hrs..

 

I can't look one year into the future (which is a real shame) but price wise, it's looking to be:

Adults (sans discount) : £32 return min. £9 single min

Children (5-15) : £16 return min £4.75 single min

 

Leicester to London would be roughly 1hr 45 mins

 

Adults: £68 return min, £12 single min

Child: £34 return min, £6 single min

 

Nottingham to London would be roughly 2hr 30 min

 

Adults: £52/60 return min, £16 single min

Child: £26/30 return min, £8 single min

 

 

These tickets are all subject to change in a year... for starters, this stupid economic crisis may have actually subsided ( :chuckle: as if) and train journeys may be a lot cheaper, who knows... these are just for pondering over.

I'll look up other places as well, if you request where you live.

Don't worry, I know that Exams were everyone's main worry, so i thought I'd do some research to save people time :p The train prices are likely to change.. but I thought I'd give a guideline.

 

Anything else I should look up?

If possible, then, yes. Like last tiem, however, I am no whizz with website design, so this will be something that will have to wait until, either we get more members and then it becomes necessary for a site... or someone is ever so kind and makes a site :) *pokes Olly*
