Sorry for contaminating this thread with English... hope you don't mind I'm currently studying Ancient Greek as I'm sure you're aware of this situation in many European countries... I wanted to know your opinion on this (like, if you think it's stupid or useful or whatever), or if you Greek people can understand Ancient Greek, if you have to learn it at school... whatever. I personally love it and also Latin. Would consider learning Modern Greek as I know how it works (well, kinda; cases and that stuff) now but the pronunciation seems to have changed quite a bit!
