Jobby
They should have included Futurism between Darkshines and Megalomania and left out Feeling Good, possibly including it as a b-side. Feeling Good made for a good single, so I'd have had it as a non-album single like Dead Star and IYW rather than just a b-side. Personally, if Futurism had to be on the album, I'd have it earlier on, maybe between PIB and CE. Dark Shines > Megalomania works really well imo. Exogenesisman
The first half usually has the big hit songs and maybe an intriguing opening song. One would think thats where the best songs are but for Muse the 2nd half of there albums are better for me. My proof: Hate This and I'll Love you, Citizen Erased (technically the middle song but it changes the course of the album so it falls into the 2nd half for me), Micro Cuts, Dark Shines, Megalomania, Blackout, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Ruled By Secrecy, Assassin, Hoodoo, Knights of Cydonia, MK Ultra, Exogenesis (1,2,3) Aftermath, The Globalist. I don't think its a wide gap though. But for my money 75% of there BEST songs come in the 2nd half of there albums, the heavy hitters so to speak. The hits are towards the front but the classics are generally towards the back. Showbiz: 1st Half by a mile Origin: 2nd Half by a whisker Absolution: 2nd Half Black Holes: Tossup but edge goes to 2nd Half The Resistance: 2nd Half by a lightyear The 2nd Law: 1st Half by a lightyear x Infinity Drones: Complete Tossup, probably edge to the 1st half cause of the 1-2 combo of Reapers/Handler So 4 albums for the 2nd half, 3 for the 1st half.
