    The Globalist

    Drill Sergeant

    Psycho

    Bliss ( strings play arpeggios)

    Supremacy

    Butterflies and Hurricanes

    Micro Cuts

    Citizen Erased

    Sunburn

    JFK

    Defector

    Mercy

    Uprising

    Stockholm Syndrome

    Survival ( with choir )

    Drones (with choir)

    Exogenesis pt 1

    Exogenesis pt 2

    Exogenesis pt 3

    Knights of Cydonia

Could have Blackout but i still feel that it would clash with exo pt 1.

A few songs with no orchestra on the album, however that did not stop Metallica doing a full concert.

  2. I had a really good feeling finally seeing Muse in an arena last night and it being in London too just made it better. The O2 is quite a nice venue.

I stood at the back of the centre part to get the best possible view of the visuals. I think they and the drones look absolutely amazing. The crowd in my area had good energy and there was some good old moshing going on many times, but I chose only to take part of it during Knights. The start with Reapers, Psycho and PiB was mega! (I think PiB should be a staple without a doubt - it has got a huge reaction every time I've seen it). After that I feel like they never reached the same energy level again despite of Map, Hysteria and of course Knights. Fucking great to finally hear Sunburn!

A low factor was the sound in the general though. Most of the time I think it just sounded too flat and meh. Especially Chris was WAY too low in the mix apart from Reapers outro, Psycho, Hysteria and Uprising. Sometimes I couldn't feel it at all. Same goes for Dom's kick drum.

In my opinion the bass needs to be as much in the sound picture as the guitar and I want the kick drum to pound me in the chest. This combo through a whole gig has only happened to me 3-4 times and never to a Muse gig.

Yeah, the sound in standing at Birmingham wasnt great, but seating at the o2 last night i thought the sound was perfect. Maybe the stage design is causing problems for the sound in standing.

  3. I spotted it last night and was seriously tempted to  might try tomorrow night.

Looking back, still can't believe everything that happened last night, genuinely felt like a dream. Only need AP and hopefully Assassin now and I'll come out with pretty much everything I wanted (thought I'd be lucky to get one) :awesome: well, apart from Showbiz and Defector but, y'know...that's Showbiz and Defector.

Also I think Matt's reaction was actually a bit more positive than I initially thought/made it out to be. I'm harbouring some hope now ngl but, like I said, I won't get upset if it doesn't happen.

They will probably just think "its that bloody message board again!"

  4. In terms of music, Assassin would fit in nicely after JFK. In terms of taste, not so good.

Kind of disappointed not to see Revolt, but shit happens. Got Sunburn and CE on my two gigs, as well as Ss, Map twice and TaB twice. No Bliss but PiB was cool both times.

@Jobby I do not think the Dildrone liked your sign. It was pretty intent on eradicating it.

  5. Must say tonight was a great gig.

The sound seemed significantly better than Birmingham ( maybe to do with my more elevated position this time) and the crowd was definitely better (moshpit during Reapers outro).

Sunburn! First time I have heard it since 2007!

Hysteria sounds better in the flesh than it does from any recording, including pro shots.

JFK into Interlude was actually pretty cool, Matt done some guitar wankery during JFK that flowed into Interlude.

Who Knows Who outro and Heartbreaker outro. Never at the same gig, let alone 2 songs that are next to each other.

Briefly caught a glimpse of Jobbys sign before he was obliterated by the Dildrone. (That was after it chased Matt on the stage lol, hilarious moment)

Also funny was the cheeky Fuzz Factory sounds he directed at the audience before Plug In Baby.

No baby drones appeared to break down.

The Globalist visuals are VERY impressive, same with The Handler and SMBH.

  6. Cheers for the explanation. That pause really does seem weird. Though there were gigs without it, or at least one. Iirc, according to ryan he didn't do it in Dublin. Anyway, I hope it'll pop up when I'm in London, so sorry about that in advance .

There was no pause in Birmingham either.

  7. This rotation would be epic.

    Drones

    Reapers

    Drill Sergeant

    Psycho

    Plug In Baby / Bliss

    Dead Inside

Citizen Erased / Butterflies and Hurricanes

    Isolated System

    The Handler

Supermassive Black Hole / Map of the Problematique

Resistance ( with ambient intro) / Starlight ( with Prelude intro)

Apocalypse Please / United States of Eurasia

    Munich Jam

    Madness / Undisclosed Desires

    JFK

    Revolt / Defector

Stockholm Syndrome/ Interlude + Hysteria ( with outros)

    Time Is Running Out

    Uprising

    The Globalist

    Drones

    Take a Bow

    Mercy

    Knights of Cydonia

  8. [Drill Sergeant]

    Blackout

    Aftermath

    The Globalist

    Redemption

I was thinking earlier that Redemption would follow on nicely from The Globalist earlier today. I must have sent you telepathic messages lol.

  9. People need to chill on the crowds imo. Firstly, there's multiple factors at play that they aren't to blame for:

    - The stage and production thins and separates the crowd, which clearly has an effect on the group mentality of sing-alongs and moshing. The big 360 stage also means that people who would normally be closer to the back (and therefore probably less bothered about jumping around) find themselves much further forward. With the band having to move around and cover much more space than usual as well, a lot of people might get distracted from jumping by trying to follow Matt and Chris.

    - As for people on the barrier, it's fairly common for people to get there just to use the rail to rest on, sometimes for health reasons. You might advise choosing seated to those people instead but circumstances can vary and, ultimately, it's their choice and money. Others might also have been dragged there by partners/kids/friends who are more into the band than them.

Secondly, there's the simple fact that different people enjoy gigs differently. There is no 'right' or 'good' way, as long as you're being respectful to the band and people around you.

If jumping around's your thing, cool, feel free (as long as you're not being a dick to the people around you obvs). If you'd prefer to be around other people who are doing the same, try to go to a meetup beforehand or look for a more energetic pocket in the crowd and make your way towards them during the gig. There's no need to have a go at other people just because they prefer to watch though.

Word. I wasnt jumping too much at Birmingham, i was taking everything in and singing along. We bounced a bit during pib and koc, and i went mental when i popped my CE cherry, but there was so much happening on the production front. I think a vast amount of the audience felt the same way, we all had a whale of a time however, so who gives a fuck how people enjoy their gig. We are not all drones, after all.

  10. It seriously looks like a stealth bomber balloon packing dildo missiles. There was no reason for those ends to be pink. :chuckle:

Still want to know if Munich popped one of them, as we know they have multiples.

It went right over my head and it definitely looked poppable.
