Also return flights on Sunday are much more expensive than down, so probably go for the megabus in Loughborough that you suggested or perhaps we'll get back to Glasgow via Derby and Manchester...

The airport open all day, sure there'd be a costa or something inside? Or at least it has somewhere you can sit if u need to put a few hours in, as a go between or whatever, guessing one of the few places that would be available 24 hrs?

Mozza, just found a flight leaving Glasgow at 7am Saturday, getting to East Midlands Airport for 8.25, £50 each! Might be wise to get sleep, have some comfort then take the hit (comfort wise) on the way back....

Yea, it's direct I believe! It's another option! I've collected about 3 or 4 possible routes there and back now...Then I'll be presenting it to the my friend! Always best to avoid the aggro by letting the girl choose the method of getting there, so they can't moan (as much) haha

Echos a nightclub, yea? Probably be open till 3 or 4 am so definitely an option! Darn, such a good suggestion, I see the megabus back up the road to glasgow too, may go for this, it's £35 tho, not the cheapest option, but maybe the best! Darn, if I'd been signed up for this trip ages ago, probably would of got a pretty good deal on that! Such is life!

Sounds like a plan! I have a friend coming too, see what she wants to do, An early start pre gig is fine, as adrenaline sees ya through, bit harder on the comedown, but it'll be worth it!

Thanks! It would of been a great plan! Hey! I'm mix things up a lot, I fly to London often but if it's a tight month, I've also taken a bus from ABERDEEN TO LONDON! 13 hrs. haha... So think we can handle the 7 hr one, broken in two! It sucks but it's worth it for Muse... The alternative is, found a flight to the East Midlands airport from Glasgow for £50...but can get there for half the price otherwise...Last minute decisions...GAH!

Cool! Thanks so much for your advice so far, not sure if I'm doing anything wrong though, as when I go to the megatrains website and it says it has stops in Glasgow, when I do a search, it just shows transport leaving from the bus station instead, I've tried multiple days, maybe they're all sold out for next week, I guess it's an early bird thing?

FUCK IT! Just bought tickets for Download! That radio interview pushed me over the edge, don't disappoint me Muse! Now just need to work out best way from Aberdeen to Glasgow (pick up friend) and then down! (cost effective) Then what to do after the end of Saturday night, no-where booked to sleep, haha !! PSYCHED

Yea, right now the plan is megabus to Manchester, then national express to Derby and then the skylink and that's coming to about £25 one way, which isn't too bad! You think rail to Birmingham, I'll check it out!

Exactly mate!! Anyone know that part of England better than a Scotsman? Would it be best to travel to Derby as a hub of transport, or Nottingham? I see Derby has buses that take 20-30 mins to Castle Donnington which seems just fine!?

I think it will be a decent length and the best set list, hard hitting wise... This is like the only major festival Muse have never done and there's been quite a bit of talk of doing less played, harder songs now...I think we'll get a memorable set!

Well, they did like 3 in 4 days, even if they're all finished, they've gotta be smart and space them out! They probably don't want the whole album out there for free legally in video form either! Guess what, some people never download leaks, but they sure as can watch youtube videos! So the rest will probably follow after June 8th... I suspects we'll start seeing more come next week, along with Mercy Official video on Monday, I suspect...

Again, great to know, just when you're travelling from 100s of miles away, it's good to have a bit of info on this! Not a festival goer, just a gig goer! So wasn't quite sure! As long as we're fairly near and not stuck waaaaaaay at the back, that's all that I wanted to know

Thanks for this confirmation dude! I suspected as much! Nah don't need to be right at the front, as taking my girl and she probably doesn't want to be moshed to death, so somewhere within the front 20 rows would be great, see a bit of the light show, etc! Gates open around 11, is it?
