Yeah, I think Muse fans would enjoy it, though I must admit I'm not a MK Ultra fan, I know a lot of fans truly love it.
What about a live Isolated System? I'm not sure if it'd work live, but it's truly underrated and deserves lots of love. Maybe before the encore, kind of a transition song.

Psycho
The Handler
Supermassive Black Hole
Map of The Problematique
Reapers
Redemption
Hoodoo
United States of Eurasia
Animals
Assassin
City of Delusion
Uprising
Starlight
Dead Inside
Panic Station
Defector
Unnatural Selection
Take A Bow
Overture
Supremacy
Knights of Cydonia
Holy shit, that's a hell of a setlist. I think I could get why people think that pre-BH&R albums are better, but it's undeniable that there are some great tunes after that, worthy of an entire setlist. Last albums were uneven, but with a lot of fantastic songs.

Phew, Matt definitely struggles with hiting that note on TaB. But who gives a damn, if I was there I would have lost it. Totally
-
Mercy live is a blast. Sorry, but that's what I think
-
Well, actually I think we fans know that the first night is normally the worst night so... maybe they're counting on that
-
Just checked some 2011 performances and realised that he doesn't even end with an E5, but rather a B4 or something? (Can't pitch now)
Now that's disappointing. I mean he's almost an octave below the studio note.
F#5 in the studio version, yeah, but I really don't know if he hits an E5 live, but I'd say B4. It's been a while since I heard TaB live
-
I'm more interested in how he did the last note. E5 or F#5?? These things matter!
Sorry, a random person started to scream when he was hitting that note and I can't barely notice
-
What I heard of TaB (which was like... 25 seconds), he didn't sound so bad, but I need to hear it again, I was pretty excited at the moment
-
Oh, well, here it comes the US/Europe confrontation. Good luck, I'm gonna sleep
-
:musesign: :musesign:
That's more like it. That's the way to do it
And I only catched the last 20 seconds. Damn me!
-
There it goes my excitement, with a streaming down in the last second
-
Well, he didn't sound off on The Globalist at least
-
That's more like it, Muse.
Sure do hope Matt's voice gets better, must be a crap situation to be in when you know you're not at 100%. I imagine this is why Take a Bow was skipped tonight?
I don't know, they played Mercy before the encore, so now there's a free slot. I can dream. TaB is my favourite Muse song . Though I'll bet that the encore is just KoC. Fuck.
-
So, Uprising-Mercy-The Globalist, then? Maybe a two-song encore with TaB of just KoC?
-
Fuck, my streaming is down. Now that it was getting interesting
-
Exciting, they did Uprising-Mercy . It's not back to bussiness then?
-
Just me or was he quite flat during the chorus of Reapers?
He was quite flat, yeah. I started the streaming with Reapers and I was like: "this doesn't sound quite... Matthew-ic"
-
Bruh, Matt is singing weird today . At least the setlist is pretty good. If I was guaranteed I'll hear today's songs, I'll pay for it.
-
Working periscope anyone?
No, and I really want to hear Blackout
EDIT: I'm happy now
-
Fuck, I missed the fun part. They really played B&H? (L)
-
If that setlist is right, it's a good one, knowing that they'll only play 16/17 songs this tour
-
I personally don't see these sets as being that bad as long as they keep changing it up. A bit short but not terrible. The most baffling inclusion for me is really Undisclosed Desires which is neither really well known or a fan favourite.
I'd say UD is one of the most popular Muse songs. It's hard to measure that, but 50M visits on YT might hint to something. And all my friends know Muse because UD .
-
Okay, here's a quick question. Would you guys be willing to settle for a fifteen-or-so minute break during the show, if it meant a longer setlist?
Back when I still had a band, I would play eleven songs in the first set, then take a fifteen-minute break and play eleven more songs in the second set, and finish it up with a one-song encore.
Yeah, of course, I'll even appreciate that since I'm tired of jumping at the 6th song
-
I think it'll do with 1/2 slots for fans with songs like CE, Fury... Well, fan favourites in general. I always think: "okey, this setlist is good, that's fine" but through the middle it's always the same. Just 1 or 2 songs to make things a little unexpected. That's not too much to ask in a 16/17 songs setlist. I think they're still very good live, but the lack of some variation always makes me consider if I prefer to go to see another band in my country and not seeing Muse which is theoretically my favourite band.
The problem is I feel kind of cheated, because I've bought all their albums, I buy merchandising, I support them, recommend them to almost every person I know. And I know I don't have more rights than any "casual" fan who enjoys them, but, I'll like them to listen to us just once.

Yes, those 2003-2004 sets were pretty much spot on in fan appeal. Today... it's kind of a mix bag. Their shows are good, but they tend to focus a lot on their more mainstream/pop-rock sound (not criticizing it, I actually love some of those songs ), and less on their more diverse prog-rock side, so...
I think I'll make a CD out of that setlist. I like it, and my friends would be pissed since they all say Muse is shit after BH&R. Maybe that'll change their minds, since all they know are their singles.
