For anyone interested, here's my review from the general tour thread: http://board.muse.mu/showpost.php?p=11432251&postcount=1311
Crowd reaction to Bliss a bit weird, seemed like no one knew it, but didn't stop me loving it. So glad I got a ticket.Hm, reaction was pretty good in my area. Good sing along and jumping.
Only quibble I had was the queue going into the section of the arena I was in 'H' was massive don't know what was going on as security was not massively increased. The queue at the standing area entrance E was also massive, and I think it took me roughly half an hour to get in (started queuing at 6:50 pm). That kinda caught me off guard, but I still managed to get a good spot.

Wow, fantastic gig! Kind of having a hard time putting my feelings into words, but yesterday was insane. Anyway, here are some of my thoughts on the gig:
Crowd: The effects of the 360 stage, as described by many on here, were clearly visible. First few rows were always up for jumping, but behind that there were mainly only separate pockets of jumpers. I guess this is a good crow considering this stage, and I'm definitely not saying it sucked, I had great fun, but the silly stage just prevents that whole 'a ton of people jumping up and down thing' and the crowd being so thin just takes that big crowd feeling away. Luckily I found some people who were up for jumping and moshing about and the group got a bit bigger towards the end of the gig (we even moshed to Resistance, Starlight and Munich Jam ; I especially really enjoyed the last one)
Muse seemed to have fun, many smiles exchanged and so on. Hilarious moments, when they're ending a song and looking at each other for the timing, but Dom rotates away from Matt and has to turn his head further and further to keep eye-contact . Matts voice seemed pretty good, couldn't hear any hoarse falsettos. But generally, when singing along and jumping about I feel it's a little hard to really judge vocals.
Last point: Setlist. Awesome. I don't mind Resistance, great to have PiB and Bliss in one gig, love AP, and the only playback thingy I really didn't like was IS. That kinda dampened the energy at that point.
And then there obviously was Assassin . I'm really sorry that it didn't happen earlier in Belfast. It totally should have. Apart from that, it was insane. I lost my mind when I realized it started, and the mosh pit to it was probably the heaviest I've been in at a Muse gig, together with Stockholm at Emirates or Waldbühne maybe. What a song, still can't believe it. And obviously thanks to Jobby, but see below .
Also a guy came up to me at the end of today's gig and knew who I was from the sign, said thanks and stuff which was v nice (if undeserved on my part). So...at least one person has seen/met me at the timeAaand that was me . Once the gig finished, I went on the look out for a guy with an Assassin sign and checked if you maybe positioned yourself exactly where you did the night before (which you did). The rest is history and I'm glad I got to say thank you in person . Also, it wasn't hard to notice you were way over the moon . But why undeserved on your part? I'm debating this in my head, but I think there's a high probability this wouldn't have happened without your sign. And either way, the whole story is a thing I'll never forget in my life, so thank you for that.
Still better the tour gets better eventually than having a Resistance Tour style of global bitterness until 2011. Just sucks there was this large, and likely self-aware, dip in quality in the middle.This.
Yeah - Eurasia, Map, TAB, Revolt and Butterflies or Stockholm I reckon.Yea, I'm hoping to hear TaB, Map and Stockholm tonight. Maybe even B&H. Looking forward to it. But really, any sort of pressure is gone. This trip was already worth it. I'm really really sad my best Muse buddy couldn't accompany me this time, but can't change that. I would have loved to share all this with him. Also, I seriously appreciate and am aware of how lucky I am and I'm really sorry for people who were less lucky this tour.
This was long, I'm friggin over-excited and wanted to share .
tl;dr (Great gig, great perfomance, Assassin , good crowd, met Jobby afterwards) -->

It depends on the crowd on the night so difficult to say, on Tuesday both sides seemed to be having a good time right to the back of GA
Alright, thanks, we'll see then . Hoping the crowd will be up for it. Good gig to everyone!

I wouldn't hold my breath.

Oh yea, no, I'm not saying it's likely that something unexpected shows up. Though I certainly wouldn't mind (in most cases).
-
Wehey, excited for tonight
Side note, prayers/predictions for the last two nights:
Tomorrow - Bliss, Eurasia, Resistance, Revolt, TAB
Friday - PIB, Assassin, Apocalypse, Map, Stockholm
Feeling a potential B&H in there somewhere though.
Sounds quite plausible. I do hope they play B&H though, and I think Blackout might show up aswell, or something completely unexpected/not played before this tour, but we'll see. Tremendously looking forward to these two gigs .

Oh yes! On my way to London. Gotta compliment Norwegian. Low-cost carrier, but they offer free wifi on board and have a very modern fleet.
About tonight: there's been some people saying sometimes one side of the stage looks livelier than the other (concerning GA). Are there any recommendations on which side might be a bit better?

I have a strong feeling Matt contacted the dildrone controller during JFK and told him to fly it into that guy with the Assassin sign . Hilarious story, all of this.
Now, regarding the Assassin sign - first off, it worked...sort of. They all saw and acknowledged it close up as they left the stage after Knights. Dom looked at it, considered it for half a second then looked dead excited and said "Yeah!". I asked him "Yeah? Really?" and gave me a wink and thumbs up that said 'don't worry about it, we'll sort it out'. Chris did pretty much the same except he didn't even think about it and his look was more of a 'that would be fucking boss, I'd love it'.Then there was Matt...less convincing tbh. He didn't really say anything, just thought about it for a few seconds then gave me a look that I can only describe as a combination of "yeah, that could be good" and "not sure, I'll think about it". Basically, I don't think he wanted to commit to it, though the people around me seemed to think that the nod was more approving than I did.
So I won't be disappointed if it doesn't happen, but it could be a possibility.
Great that they all saw it. With Matts reaction being a bit unsure (or a bit more positive than that) it's truly not more than a possibility, but we'll see. You gave it a shot, cheers for that . I'll keep my fingers crossed, so fucking excited for these gigs .
In terms of music, Assassin would fit in nicely after JFK. In terms of taste, not so good.Haha, I never thought of that. Very true. If they play it, maybe they'll put it in the slot after Dead Inside, where Stockholm has been played recently.

I fear i'm getting The Resistance delux package on thursday. Though they could whip out Butterflies I guess
I hope it's the latter!
-
Second rotation slot that's being kept the same... Weird.
-
Any chance it'll stick around for thursday? I'm guessing AP or Eurasia though
Yea, I was just thinking, could possibly mean AP and Eurasia for the last two nights. Doubt they'll play Sunburn twice.
This needs to happenWerchter 2015. Except that it was Sergio from Kasabian
-
There it is!
-
-
Apparently:
Reapers
Psycho
PiB (again?!)
-
Sunburn? Nice! Enjoy tonight everyone. Show should start any minute now...
-
Make an Assassin "drone" and if they don't play it by The Globalist release it against the dildo and have them fight to the death.
This please!
Due to budgetary reasons, the 'drone' might have to be me wearing a dark green body sock with 'ASSASSIN' painted on the torso but sure.I hope you stuck to this plan. How are you going to get the Helium inside the venue to make you fly though?
Anyway, best of luck with the sign!

Hm, setlist had its highs and lows yesterday imo. Low mainly being UD (at least it's hopefully out of the way now).
Welp, I did say tonight was gonna be the worst set. Still wasn't prepared for UD though, rotating that and TAB has gotta be the dumbest rotation they've done.I kinda felt for you when the set was starting out exactly the same as the gig before (and knowing you're not too fussed about CE), and then the first change being UD...
Utterly excited to hear a couple of "good crowd" comments . Getting so pumped for later this week!
-
Very busy on this thread tonight.
No TAB then tonight?
yup.

What's wrong with him tonight? Voice seems off during The Handler and almost struggling for breath?
The last The Handler falsetto actually sounded really good. Can't comment on his chest voice.
-
Set identical to Manchester night 2 so far, except the ordering of Psycho and Reapers.

4 nights London have kicked off!
-
People on twitter saying Assassin was soundchecked.
Hype! And yes yes yes, I know soundchecks don't mean much, but sometimes they do (examples this tour: TaB, B&H...). We'll see.
Apart from that, I'm looking forward to what's gonna show up during the London residency. There's only one long one left after it (Milan in May). I guess/hope a couple of those rarities which have only been played once or so on this tour might pop up (B&H, Blackout, Sunburn), or possibly some that haven't appeared at all (the likes of MM, Hyper Music, as they've been played last year. Or something completely different. Or none at all...)
Anyway, closing down the board and Muse related stuff the next 24 hours. Wanna leave just a little to the unknown for tomorrow's gig. Been looking forward to seeing Muse in London for many years, so a little part of me says it has potential to be the best gig I've ever been to if everything goes well. But we never know with these guys ...Have fun! Muse in London certainly was something special for me back in 2013. I hope Thursday and Friday will be as well .

Alrighty, here's my review of the Friday: As I said after Thursday, trip was already worth it for me. But I really enjoyed Friday as well. Good set, even though I was hoping they might end the London residency on a slightly bigger bang (for instance play B&H). I don't mind FG as much as some/many on here, but there are way better rotations. And I was also quite surprised they didn't rotate PiB at all during the week. Maybe they were really satisfied with the crowd reaction to it?! Anyway, enjoyed the gig, but it obviously wasn't anywhere near as emotionally crazy as that whole Assassin thing. Stockholm was immense, as was TaB which I was utterly glad to get (never heard it before. It also got a really good crowd reaction in my area), and Map was top as well.
Crowd wasn't as good as on Thursday imo, but I still found a nice area of people jumping about. And once Stockholm came on, the mosh pit pretty much doubled in size. Unfortunately only one riff to end it, but still ace imo. Also, cool moment when Matt was sliding his guitar on one of the handrails at the beginning of the Township Rebellion riff .
Yea, that last sentence actually sums it up pretty well.
I can confirm at least one pit . But seriously, yea, I thought it was a bit tamer compared to Thursday. Like Frakkles said though, judging a crowd, especially when standing in GA, can be a bit deceiving. I tried to look around a couple of times, take in the atmosphere and compare that to the night before, hoping that that would enable me to judge fairly objective.
I gotta say, I thought having TIRO played after a heavy song really added something to it. Then again, I'm generally still quite fond of TIRO, but that particular slot made some sort of difference.
And this goes back a bit, but I didn't find time earlier:
Nice meeting you too . And I'm usually also quite shy about just going up to people, but there was said high .
Haha, ok, I can understand it maybe feeling a bit odd for you, but, I mean, you really did kinda do a good deed. But anyway, I was just really happy and thankful, so yea...
Edit: oh, and met a fellow German boardie on the Friday, that was cool
