Screenager is wonderfully dark.

Filthy! Not my kind of music, but in that genre it was really good.

Put an ad in your local music shops and practise studios.
Had a think about this, how many people actually look at those?
-
yeah... thanks for the advice

Well our bassist is 20, he takes us really seriously and hes the driving force behing the band most of the time. But yeah, I have tried and at the college... It will help next year when i'll be in 6th form, more people to ask. Our drummer's trying to find people at the college as shes in the 6th form so is getting to know them, but shes at an all girls school next door, and hasnt really got to know many people there

I know the feeling giggings on hold until we find one. Actually anyone recommend a good site were you can successfully find people to join your band? We've tried a few, nothing works.

I always thought Matt boosts his mids with the MXR 6 band EQ for stuff like New Born riff, Plug In Baby riff, Stockholm Syndrome riff...basically for the melodic parts of songs, when guitar has to stand out from the rest of the track.
+Matt always talks about boosting his mids, and from all his amp pictures that I've seen, the middle control seems to be pretty high up.
But, it's late and I'm tired, so chances are I'm just talking rubbish.
Nah seems spot on

Luckily our bassist has converted his spare room/living room into a pretty insane studio, so we are gonna spend a week there recording...

£250 for 3 8 hours days? Do you get an engineer with that?

-
an amp with some knobs and one of those whatsits with 6 strings on em is a good start
Its just distortion and a bit of Phaser for the riff...
-
stop teasing me.
build something.
-
How much is it costing to use the studio?
Starts at £250 for a 3 day demo recording slot...
-
Hahah oh well
