  1. I love google. It's my spellchecker for all those big words I like to use.
  2. I've been love boated. Since I have no idea what to do with the thing, please put anything on there that you want - including rants you'll feel guilty about later. Trust me. My boat will never be read by the band.
  3. I've been trying. Believe me. I haven't forgotten the last one.
  4. Ok. Now, I'm behind. Well, 'grayavec' that's a really, long story, but for the sake of your other visitors, I'll just say that it's a username I've used for an eternity. Something of a blend of a name I picked up as a kid and my interest in languages. Too obscure?
  5. Outpour away.
  6. Pictures. You're bolder than I am. The kiddie songs got erased by a good walk outside. Ended up getting caught in some brief rain. At least the heat and humidity dropped for a little bit. Thanks for the lb post. Still trying to figure out why Mneme started it, though he likes a good joke.
  7. Puns, my good man. You still know how to turn a good phrase.
  8. We'll have to compare notes on the Phoenician book. Of course, my copy's at home, but I'll have to go pull Disunion. If Etcheson's book is worthy of ILLing, I'll add it onto my list. Speaking of... I've got a bit of work to do. brb in an hour. - J
  9. Yes, Stuttgart sounds lovely right now.
  10. Must be extra tired, because it took me a couple of reads to figure out your accent. YEAH!! TR!!
  11. My apologies. Have a good weekend if I don't see you meandering the forum - J
  12. ok, mb it is.
  13. Spamming indeed. At least you spam literature. They all look interesting. lol. Must catch up this weekend.
  14. That's almost as bad as 'Give me sexond! I'll be right there!'
  15. Oh, so tempted. I do need a vacation and something to flex my mind over. I do have a couple of days off too, but it's the dratted appointment tomorrow morning that I can't skip.

I'd say let's go to Bern instead.

  16. I beginning to think the 'how mad is he' thread is a pointless thread, but I almost wanted to add onto your last post. Isn't it silly that lots of musers haven't read the interviews? If they had, they'd see its the questions that are crazy, and his answers rather intelligent or joking. I think the wiki and the threads tend to spin things a bit out there, like that telephone game, where the original bit gets completely messed up. Ugh, I give up.

    So, how are you?

  17. I just posted a poll asking people if he reads the forum and attached the pseudonym on the bottom. 7 people in just a couple of minutes. Must not be the only one bored this afternoon. I think it's a bit absurd to think that he patrols the forum under an assumed identity, but purely hypothetical, he would probably pretend to be as ignorant as possible about the band and then jump into the banter section for fun. Do you honestly think he reads the forum?

I've been finding other musers in the meantime who seem relatively sane and not too fanish, if that's a word. I completely understand being busy. I'm not really a private message kind of person. Feels too personal for some odd reason. Plus, I'm making you look popular by posting on your page, right?

Oh, I'm sorry. Just giggling away here. My dog's been not herself most of today, but she's finally coming back around. Makes me happy. Plus, I'm feeling better myself, and oddly, I'm excited to get back to work on Monday.

Good luck to you on the exams. Get lots of rest, and I hear that eating fish is the best kind of food pre-exam. Something about brain-food. Sorry, I usually tune out when people start mentioning medical benefits to foods. It all blends together. Although, I can't resis blueberries. Have a good rest of the weekend! - Julie

  18. I typed in Bleeding Kansas and this is what popped up:

Disunion! : the coming of the American Civil War, 1789-1859 by Elizabeth R. Varon

I guess I could try that out.

Ooo... screenplay? Now, we've got plenty of books on how to do that. You write them? Bloody hell, you've got hidden talents, good sir.

  19. I'd love to see our director mop the floors. He'd probably turn it into an epic undertaking.

We've stopped purchasing awhile back to. The only upside about our library is the university cut our budget less than other departments due to being a valuable resource to the students.

No Banned Books Week? Wow. Well, I guess I shouldn't be that surprised. I don't know many libraries that participate, but its our biggest event every year, mostly due to me. Nothing really to brag about, but this year, I really want to do something bigger and different.

I completely understand the Facebook push. We have one and a Myspace, but our patrons don't use it as much as calling, emailing, or using the chat on our homepage.

I'm still catching up on all the vids. Bliss fan - me too. Did you know there's a social group just for that song?

Haven't gotten around to creating the library group. If you'd like to create it, I find people to populate it. Sorry. I've been pretty distracted later with work and personal activities. The hard part, I think, is finding a good photo to go with the group.

So, what's your all time favorite Muse song?

  20. I've been love boated, Nicole. Have no idea why, but if you need a place to put unconventional posts, good ahead and use my boat.

 Longest weekend yet. Fri - got drunk and texted/typed a whole bunch of stuff while intoxicated. Sat - entertained my 2 yr old nephew and older sis while hungover. Today, can't get them to leave. Somebody save me from the children's videos. Feeling my brain going to mush as I listen to the singing.

    How was your weekend?

    -Julie

  21. No worries.

I hear the lolz threads are pretty good too. Haven't been yet.

    Have a great weekend!

  22. The Library Nook is cute. I don't think musers would catch onto the check-out. Its like signage. Never known a patron that actually reads the signs. They instinctively prefer to ask a person. Though, it makes sense - 'check-out' our group.

I've got a nephew and and neice, with another nephew on the way. The Bad Kitty series is a great idea to check out. I don't know about you, but I'm getting really tired of Elmo and Dora. lol

iPad? lol. Definitely wait til they come out with an upgraded version. I keep hearing about errors and usability-issues, but of the other choices out there, the iPad does seem to be the best.

Hm... Just finished my second cup of mint tea too. Ah, goodness. There's caffeine in it. No wonder I seem to be becoming more awake as the day goes along.

lol. If you can handle the silly threads, by all means enjoy them.

  23. There I go again - type much and double-check little. I meant I added at the bottom of the poll if people thought he went under a pseudonym, but I caught your post, you've seen the poll.

Seriously, I've got to fully research things before I start a new thread. Didn't know he had an actual membership on here. Hopefully, I haven't driven any new die-hards to his page. I'd feel completely bad about that. I almost feel like posting an apology on there, but then, that'd be the same as the fans I usually make fun of.

I'm still more of a VM over a PM kind of person. Unless, of course, you'd prefer things that way. Perhaps? I realize that they give you alerts for PMs but not VMs. In all honesty, nothing I've said really deserves to break you away from your studies.

Although, have you listened to the MTV vid? I can't get it to work on this ancient computer at home, but the tiny preview bit from earlier does induce me to want to purchase it. I'm holding out though. Completely old-fashioned, but I like buying cds over mp3s. Just in case my computer and ipod crash, I've got a back-up.

Yikes, look at the time. I should get off soon. - J

  24. You too! Hope you don't suffer from messageboard withdrawal while on vacation, and I'll get on top of musers tomorrow. Believe me. It'll be so slow at the desk.

    Have a great time! -Julie
