Gigwise reporting recycled information they've probably found from lurking in here has no bearing on the situation at all
-
I think this has the potential to be amazing. That being said I am a bit anxious about crowd reaction if the setlist is shit.
-
I see you've been to Wembley the same day as me though, that was a pretty great setlist! MK, Bliss, CE, RBS, USOE, SS, TAB, so I hope that made up for your first gig haha
There was nothing to make up for really, back in my fanboy days I was just happy to be in the same building
-
My first time was a The Resistance arena tour gig, and I was seated so you can imagine how amazing that was setlist-wise
Great at the time, but in hindsight it was easily the worst Muse gig I've attended
-
Yup. Mercy has been the only underwhelming track for me.
Starting to wonder if this might be the first Muse album that sounds better in studio. The production, instrumentation and Matt's flawless vocal delivery really take the songs we've heard so far to another level.
I much prefer Mercy live, particularly the Jools Holland performance
I'm not a massive fan of the layered chorus vocal that is more prominent on the studio version

Such a relief that lived up to my expectations

After reading the conversation about the 2nd verse lyrics, this is what I hear,
"war, war just moved up a gear
I don't think I can handle the truth
I'm just a pawn, and we're all expendable
Incidentally, electronically erased, by the..."
"Incidentally" seems strange though, it could be "in to..." something.

solo definitely sounds st vincent-y
not the rest though
Good track overall. Bad album opener though...
The guitar part towards the start is very St Vincent, admittedly the second half of the song isn't
-
After really getting into St Vincent recently, I fucking love Dead Inside
-
I'm very pleasantly surprised
-
Wow, the closing minute or so is amazing, got goosebumps
-
Guiding Light bass.
Cos octave bass = Guiding Light
-
Ha I'm liking this, guitar bits remind me of St Vincent
-
Its happening on R1

Psycho haha

Annie Mac "It's happening now"

They were, but I wasn't too far from them during Knights and I didn't notice that happen, so maybe it's a different couple. Knights was that crazy though I couldn't tell you for sure. Pretty sure I elbowed someone in the head by accident during that one. I'm sure there are a lot of people feeling very sore today
I just remember her having frizzy ginger hair

Wow I'm glad we didn't wait for the band to come out then. We were going to, but decided a Mcdonalds was a must as we were practically dead from the amazing Setlist. I don't think I've ever been so sweaty!! Would have been awful to discover the car had been robbed that late and then head home. As it was I didn't get home until 1:15.
Thankfully I'm currently having an easy day at work. I must have got a bit carried away bouncing as my left foot is totally buggered. I didn't notice the girls on fbook despite that sounding a similar area to where I was stood. I did have an annoying couple in front of me though who didn't jump, or move, or generally seem to be enjoying it at all. Some lad was behind me pushing me slowly forward (which was fine by me as I'd have loved to have been closer) but there was no getting past this couple who were clinging to each other for dear life. I don't get why people even bother standing in the first 10 rows or so if they don't want to get involved in some way. Everyone else in that area seemed great though.
Were the couple a bit older than the usual demographic? I think I was stood next to them. She got clobbered on the head by a crowd surfer during Knights
-
I was stood in a line of lads that were all 6'3" or taller, felt so bad for the people behind us
-
One tiny regret if any was knowing beforehand through word of mouth in the queue that The Groove had been sound-checked. The shock of hearing it without knowing would have been amazing
-
Was sweating my tits off so much, wore a leather jacket with 2 t shirts under that. Got into the queue at 6 but got so close. Dead Star was absolutely insane, wasn't expecting it until the person behind my in the queue showed me a tweet saying that it was soundchecked. Best gig ever, so much fun - but felt I was going to collapse during Bliss, the crowd was so intense by that point. Starlight is such a killer though, but it was nice to have a breathe!
There came a point when I thought I'd had to leave for water, I just stuck with it even if that meant standing still as everyone one else was jumping.

I think I sweated out half my body weight, i was a mess.

Yeah im 6 foot 4 and I was scared for my well-being

Surely the XFM tweet is just repeating what Gigwise said in their article based on pure rumour, generated from the board. Still don't expect it tonight.
Will happily be wrong though
