Lets home 2nd night syndrome lives up to its name
-
Feel physically sick that £460 has just left my account
I hate myself for it but my two extra tickets are on getmein, and are by far the cheapest standing tickets on there.
I would have sold them on for face value but after being swindled for so much money I couldn't bring myself to do it
-
Got 2 for each date now, gonna have to try and move my ones for friday on. after paying £310 each for them I'm in a tough position
-
I actually feel sick now there is another date added after paying that much
-
Just been absolutely swindled by Getmein, I managed to get two tickets for a shocking price.
£120 each plus £46 processing charge and £10 postage. The £310 hole in my bank account is going to take time to heal.
Horrified at myself.
-
That was ridiculous, didn't allow me to enter my code until about 5 past, by then the manchester tickets had gone
-
Am I the only one mystified by the rank harmony on the first line of KoC (23:54-24:00)? Laughably wrong - and killed by the second line. Not sure if it was Chris, or auto-tune - either way, quite excruciating.
Reminded me of this
-
How come you have heard it? What?!?!? I dont understand
u srs?
You've missed a lot.
-
My favourite song of the second half
-
Right after about 5 listens of the album as a whole...
Dead Inside - 7.5/10
Psycho - 6.5/10
Mercy - 6/10
Reapers - 9/10
The Handler - 9/10 - the end minute or so almost reduced me to tears its that good
[JFK] + Defector - 6.5/10
Revolt - 5/10
Aftermath - 7/10
The Globalist - 7.5/10
Drones - 6/10
Overall 7/10. Reapers and The Handler really got my hopes up and I feel let down a little. I scoffed a little bit yesterday when the guy who went to the Triple J listening party said the first half of the album is better. After hearing the whole album, i'd have to agree with him.
-
Reason number one Drones is great and deserves its place on the album; it's unlike ANYTHING Muse have ever done. And it works. It's just so unexpected.
Preach it sister!
+1

On 3rd listen, I don't mind Revolt. Verse's definitely remind me of The Darkness, maybe its just how Matt is singing
-
I wish the stuff from 6:14-6:30 of The Globalist would have been featured on a separate song. So good.
Yeah it sounds so out of place in The Globalist
-
Okay, on first listen
Defector 6/10 - disappointed all in all, especially after hearing the 'Making of...' riff and hearing potential
Aftermath 8/10 - really enjoy it, yes even the ending minute or so
The Globalist 7.5/10 - heavy bit disappointed, drums are absent for too long during the riff
Revolt 4/10 - I hope its a grower
Drones 6/10 - For what it is, its okay. Just feel as though a track space on the album has been wasted
-
I think Kueller set it so only mods can send messages
-
Wow these 200 or so lurkers really have some staying power
-
Why? I agree my opinion is invalid
yeah I saw that after I posted
-
Therefore your opinion on a relative 14 seconds of nothing is invalid
Ha, done him like a kipper
-
I don't think you can say that without hearing it though, its a presumption based on nothing.
very true, squire.
-
You've not heard any of it yet so how can you say it will be unlistenable
To be fair, they said it will turn out to be unlistenable if its too long
-
Yah but it's a cool section.
Do you feel the same about Reapers and Bombtrack/Freedom?
I did when i first heard it, particularly with the Freedom comparison.
I still hear it obviously but I look past it now
-
I don't want too much of the Morricone section, because it is pretty much a blatant rip off
-
Maybe I should just change the thread title to a summary: Drones (album) part 4: nothing has happened.
Anything will be better than what it is now
-
I love how people write off the whole album just because someone said it was amazing but they preferred the first half
I didn't write it off, just said his opinion didn't bode well for the 2nd half

Up there with the best time I've seen Muse. Was on the barrier of Chris' wing, although Matt probably spent more time on it. Crowd around me was great for the most part, particularly the large section in the centre of each side.
Disappointed they dropped TaB, was looking forward to that most. Confused as to why they dropped it altogether.
Was please CE replaced Feeling Good, but why not have CE + piano section? I was hoping for AP - a song I've not seen live yet.
All in all I'd probably say last night was only beaten by Wembley '10, Leeds '11 and Manchester Academy '15 - not too shabby!
