  1. Tickets in USA are even more expensive than for example RHCP tickets were. You can't expect those to sell well. I just don't get it  Maybe they figured out that Muse has a core of like 5-10k in every city that will always pay and that reducing ticket price won't get much more people in

Hopefully, the poor ticket sales are because of the holiday shopping where money becomes tight for everyone this time of year. I'm sure things will pick up after the new year.

  2. Yeah, honestly it should be pretty clear that $125 tickets to see Muse just aren't going to sell well in the US. They're even less popular now than they were during T2L, for which I think I paid $70-something for a GA ticket.

A nice theatre show with an orchestra behing them is a dream show for me! One day this will happen i guess, and i will be there!

  3. That's the problem that a lot of these bands have when they are bigger in Europe and elsewhere than they are in the US. They get it in their head that they are worth a certain price, and ticket prices have to reflect that price. The fact of the matter is that Muse are NOT a big band in the US. They had some success on alternative formats, and rode a wave of popularity for awhile due to their involvement in the Twilight Movies. But their last "hit" in the US was "Madness". That's not so much Muse's fault, as I think "Pressure" would've been a hit 5 years ago. Rock music is just not popular now. Muse are definitely one of the most popular rock bands from the 00's.

Muse need to be charging MUCH less for these tickets. Wouldn't it be better to charge $30 and fill the arena up?

Problem is if you charge $30 a ticket for an arena show, the band makes ZERO money. It's super expensive to do an arena tour.

  4. Am I the only one who thinks the void and the darkside ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE VERSIONS are the most amazing pieces and fucking beautiful pieces of music i've ever heard!!!!!!!!!!! Those two alone take my mind on a trip everytime i here them!

Don't get me started on the instumenal darkside super universe version!!!!!! MUSICAL ORGASM!!!!!!!

  5. Did anyone else choose to receive their ticket on the AXS app? (I wasn't going to spend $25 for will call lol). I just got it, but it says the concert is on March 2 instead of March 5 (all the other info is correct). I'm guessing it's a mistake from AXS, but it threw me off...

March 2nd is Vegas, are you sure you bought for the right show? That venue in Vegas also uses AXS

  6. Looks like the bottom half of the lower bowl at the sides (105-110 & 116-121) are for GA and the upper half of those blocks is for the VIP package ticket holders. Rather annoyed with this as that means a good number of seats are going to be selling for nearly $300 each. If they all sell out this is setting a bad precedent going forward.

I wanted a reserved seat, as I didn't want to have to worry about showing up at a decent time for a good view so I picked the PL1 reserved tickets which was showing on the arena plan as in blocks 111-115 I believe. When I went to checkout it put me up in the top tier, block 208 row B. When I tried to pick elsewhere it just gave me those seats again so I went for it as was worried I wouldn't get anything. The seats two rows behind me are going for $30 less, I feel ripped off.

I think this is rather unfair as it didn't show the bottom of 208 as part of this ticket group. I'm not sure if the view will be as good or not now compared to looking straight on. The other half isn't happy at all being that high up, does anyone have any experience with this venue of what we can expect?

Thank god its probably the smallest most intimate of the announced arena venues. The Mandalay Bay Events Center is really a big theater. its one of those places that no matter where you sit, you have a good vantage point.

  7. Really? That's just how london is. Always has been, always will be. Looking at that photo up there... the place looks almost too fucking big!

The pitch is gigantic because it was an Olympic Stadium. Extra wide on the sides for all the track and field activities.

For all our fellow Musers in the UK, what stadium is the best for concerts?

  8. Are tickets normally this expensive at Talking Stick? I saw Muse in Phoenix last 2 tours and tickets were not nearly as expensive as they are for this show. 100$ just for 1 seat ticket? Seems really absurd.

unfortunatley yes. All the fees and taxes and whatever sneaky charges they throw into the price is crazy. You can buy a ticket that say's $90, then after alllllll the fees it comes out to $130 a pop.

  9. I got GA for Oakland and Seats for Sacramento. Vegas tix are not yet acquired. :(

Sacramento would have been easy if it had accepted my first purchase. I got in and selected tickets super quickly--had some great front row seats and had clicked to charge the tickets, but TM kicked me off and said that I had to redo my whole entry. When I tried to go back in, I couldn't log in on my computer and it said that I needed to use a different computer(!!). I'm still locked out on my computer, but I was able to use my phone. I got seats in third row instead of 1st, but I'm still feeling defeated.

Vegas tix are through AXS and that's even more of a hot mess than TM! Only certain sections are available for sale right now and the prices are much higher than the CA shows. Seats suck and my sister doesn't want to do GA for this show, so I'm going to see what's available at 1pm first. If it's not much better, then I might bite the bullet and buy a few of those price gouging VIP packages. Oooor convince my sister to do GA. We'll be in Vegas for a few days, so spending one day queuing shouldn't take out too much from our Vegas experience. :)

Waiting for tax season money to pay for hotels and flights like
