  1. ?

Well, that was only after someone called you out for making snarky comments. You could have just presented your point as it was in response to the original question, instead of posting the "how dare they" comment.

Oh of course, the thread moves fast because Fabri, the main antagonist of the story, is spamming the board with his off-topic, negative and unrelated comments against the poor users of this community.

Am I responding to opinions excessively? Really? This is hilarious.

Oh I made no such assertion that the thread moves fast because of you, did I? ;)

But yes, there must be a reason why your posts have been called out to be snarky by multiple users. You certainly seem to post more unnecessary, snarky posts than most of the other users here. Otherwise, why would we call YOU out and not anyone else? Because we have a personal vendetta against you? I doubt so. It's more likely that we do so because its obvious to a significant extent.

  2. Anyway, if there's other people like Demonocracy who clearly struggle to understand posts written in what seems to be normal english (at least to me?), my point about Muse and Pitchfork is that they don't "hate" the band at all.

Well, then you could have just presented your opinion as it is, instead of something like this:

    yeah omg how dare they

Do you think the above post communicated your point? Well, yes it is "normal english", but it didn't communicate your point in the slightest bit. And you blame me for "struggling to understand" your point.

I don't get this. You think that I sometimes answer with ":)" to silly posts just because I made the thread or feel like a mod? I'm not insulting anyone, I'm not fighting with anyone, and a ":)" reply to a stupid post isn't going to derail a thread that moves this fast, is it? I know it doesn't add much to it (or to a discussion that doesn't really exist in the first place), but is it going to make anyone cry? You're all overreacting. If I actually attacked people or insulted anyone you'd have a point.

Why does this thread move fast? Because there's a lot of news? I don't think so. One can only wonder why.

Your belief is false. That was not my thought. When I said "moderate", I did not mean it in the "official Moderator" sense, but in the sense as if you are the "host" of a discussion thread, responding to opinions excessively etc. I don't see how not "making anyone cry" is a justification for posting silly, unconstructive posts. Surely you can do better than that as an intelligent being.

  3. Are you sure? I don't mind fabri, but i can't think of anyone whose worse with that these days. And if you say me you clearly haven't been paying attention.

In defense of Tjet, he (or she? pardon me if I get your gender wrong) does post some valid questions and properly constructs his thoughts and posts. Instead of Fabri who seems to frequently feel compelled to respond to posts with something like "" which doesn't really say much and is just meaningless noise. Really, there isn't a need to respond to various opinions with smiley faces and questions to challenge people's opinions. You're no moderator of this thread even if you created it. The only thing that needs to be moderated on this thread is your excessive (and usually non-constructive) posts.

  4. Yeah why do they hate the band so much?

    yeah omg how dare they

They're allowed to not like the band put I noticed in their article about Coachella last year they didn't even mention Muse playing, despite being a headliner . Weird

Fabri back to his snarky nonsense once again. Really, empty vessels make the most noise. (Then when people point it out, he tries to post something constructive in an attempt to prove them wrong ).

Besides, what Con101 was asking for was a reason, an explanation for the strong dislike that the pitchfork reviewers apparently have for the band. Likely that no one on the board can give an answer to that, thus it would be charitable to interpret his question as a rhetorical one. However, Fabri and Xtal seem to have misinterpreted his question as asking HOW they can hate the band so much, or they seem to believe that Con101 was expressing surprise or disbelief that they hate the band and that they are not entitled to do so (when I don't think that was his intent).

  5. We don't have any reason not to, which is how it works. Or which variables were you planning on using for determining the probability?

I have to disagree with you on this. It seems counter-intuitive to assign equal probabilities to both possibilities, precisely because we do not have any information at all. Would you then say that it is equally likely that the single will be out today, and that the single will not be out today? We have no reason to believe so and thus should refrain from even assigning probabilities, unless we have reason to believe they are equally likely (if we were to assign a probability of 0.5 to each).

Having no reason or information to assign probabilities does not entitle us to assign equal probabilities to both events, especially since they are non-random.

  6. Yeah, after you make the video all set in the program you render it so that it's ready to be used (or uploaded, in this case).

I doubt it's for a Muse video to be uploaded today though, I'd imagine that would already be up and just hidden in their channel.

Any reason for your second statement?

Even if rendering is done, I imagine it would take quite a few hours to get the completed video uploaded? Maybe that's consistent with the Zane theory then - Zane will premiere the single and by about then the (lyric) video will be up for viewing on youtube..

  7. No worries the wait was worth it hahaha. I loved it!!

End riff of KOC backstage was definitely Matt!!! He's known to do that off-stage thing, like in the famous "PWOPER rock & roll" video ->

I'm glad you recorded that part. ALL the videos I watched on youtube cut off too early . did you also notice that Matt was throwing his guitar picks while playing the riff, the section before the trumpets?:matt:

Oh you forgot to mention about the man with the harmonica giving his harmonica to one lucky fan in the crowd!!:chris:

The song that gave me goosebumps, making me reminisce about discovering new Muse material was USoE. Reminded me of the treasure hunt period. That was so brilliant.

    +1,000,000.009

Was it from Life? If it is, can you post it here? I didn't get to read that article hahaha.

What end riff of KoC by Matt backstage??

  8. This is my 2nd time seeing Muse (first being 2007 in Singapore)

Demonocracy, it was worst back then. The standing area is a downhill slope. I was at the 2nd or 3rd row. When muse came on, everyone pushed forward. Many opted to be pulled out. I felt/heard my bones crush/cracked when I was squeezed. Lol. Near death experience?

Last night wasn't too bad. I don't know if it helps that it was my 2nd time seeing Muse.

Well yeah guess I'm kinda lucky I didnt go for the earlier gig then haha... Can't imagine. I wouldve been...just 14 then. But then again there wasn't long 'opening' acts there, so might've been different haha

  9. I went for my very first Muse gig, actually my very first gig experience, last night at the Indoor Stadium.

I'm 17 this year, and to be honest, it was a horrible experience when the first two bands were playing. That was possibly because I was kinda alone and didn't really know what to expect. It was mad. Once the first band started, this idiot on the barrier just turned around and ran into the crowd, pushing his/her way through, away from the stage? What the fuck?! I was slightly towards the left of the stage(matt's side) and in roughly the third row from the stage. However I slowly moved/was pushed towards the left.

Then there was quite some moshing, like the people push towards the left, then those on the left are unhappy, then they start pushing back towards the right again. You won't really fall though, since its so jam-packed. However sometimes when the 'wave' is longer then you could fall. In fact when the second band was playing I was feeling so horrible that I wanted to leave the pit  But I met my friend while trying to leave the pit so stayed with him.

When Muse came on, it was much better. Less moshing and all. More singing and fist pumping etc. I really felt much better. That was perhaps because I actually knew every song they were playing, and were actually what I wanted to watch...

Anyhoo, Muse would be the only band I might go back into that bloody pit again for. Especially if they're the only band playing... And if its your first time too, do have the mental preparation, especially if Muse is not the only act.
