  1. Dee, I know you're about to, quite rightly, oppose and disagree and destroy demonocracy.

    But just ignore this time!

If he has something sound to say, he should. Why do you think he's right? Care to explain? So it is acceptable to have an unpleasant community? We should condone such unpleasant behaviour? Why, pray tell?

  2. Because crying about it is also very productive.

You know, I honestly don't care if I, or Fabri, or Tjet, or anyone else offends other people here. If you post something on the board, your post's up for scrutiny. You may think it creates an unpleasant environment, but we have a report system on the board. The mods, however unlikely it might seem, do actually pay attention to those. Report posts, put the people who bother you on ignore and stop fucking crying about it.

Now, now, there's no need for swearing, is there? Surely you can express yourself more eloquently, if you're one of those who enjoy scrutinizing other's posts and making the board an unpleasant place for others? "I dont care if it offends others" - I'm not sure why that might be the case. Shouldnt we try to be civil and foster a warm, accepting community?

Come, mods - do join in the coversation. Should we not try to foster a pleasant community, instead of one where certain persons are constantly waiting to jump in and make fun of your mistakes?

  3. And yet, the only person who seems to take offense to any of this is you.

Do you not agree that the board will be a more pleasant place if people refrained from making posts such as those which people like Tjet are so fond of making? Besides, silence does not mean approval.

  4. I'm sorry I don't share your hardships with counting to four.

My apologies for my stupidity. I've only ever learnt how to count to three!

But of course, I merely did not bother looking through the thread to count the number of mistakes he made. Why should anyone be bothered with the number of mistakes others make? You definitely seem to have a tendency to point people's mistakes out though. Why might that be the case? You did not answer this question, but merely posted an attempt to insult (though it was a really bad one).

  5. It was a joke, chill.

And anyway, "I'm surprised you didn't notice that it was even talked about a few pages ago." is not nasty/snarky at all. :erm:

Alright, sorry - maybe I'm too sensitive. But the board could definitely do with more courtesy! Those instead of posts trying to point out people's mistakes and criticize other's opinion (sometimes seemingly for the sake of being confrontational)!

Back on topic, I really like what we've heard of this so far! It would be interesting to see how they utilise/breakdown the 10minutes of the whole song..

  6. Stop being off-topic.

Who are you to tell me this? I'm sooo sure you're always on topic. I don't mind being given infractions for being "off-topic" because I know my intentions are good by calling out people who make unnecessarily nasty or snarky comments to others. I see it as doing a service to the board. Maybe you should reflect on whether you have made the board a pleasant place to be in.

  7. Doubt it'll happen. Muse themselves might play it tonight, if anything.

I think that's possible too, if BHAR was anything to go by (3 live videos). 3 sounds like a reasonable number, 2 seems a tad stingy.

  8. But it doesn't

I agree with you, I'm not a big fan of that interpretation. But he's entitled to his opinion that it sounds good, just as much as we are entitled to opine that it doesnt sound good (to us). It's his opinion so I don't think you should write in such a way to suggest his opinion is wrong, as if it's a fact that the interpretation doesn't sound good.

    :)

  9. http://m.thenation.com/article/200337-american-drone-operators-are-quitting-record-numbers

Off-topic, but an interesting read on how drone operators in the US are quitting in record numbers. How the drone operators face psychological trauma - even though they are physically very far away from the violence, the nature of their job brings them much closer to the death and violence (in every way except that of physical distance).

  10. God forbid someone used some sarcasm to convey a point on the internet! I apologize, I promise I'll never use sarcasm again and will present my opinions in a clearer/more light-hearted way, for the board is dark and full of terrors.

Only problem was, your sarcastic comment in no way conveyed your point.

Alright, I think you guys have heard enough from me and I am guilty of bringing this thread away from its intended discussion too. I apologise for that, though I stand by what I have said.

Nice GoT reference by the way. And as someone mentioned, at the end of the day we are all fans and just want to hear new material soon. I hope we do get something substantial soon! :)

  11. perhaps sarcasm is a language that needs to be learned but i had no problems at all getting the gist behind "yeah omg how dare they"

It would have been a sarcastic response if Con101 had posted something like "How can they/dare they post such reviews of Muse?". But as explained a few pages back, that was not his question. So it was not a proper sarcastic response, heck, it did not even respond to the question.
