and wow. at least your books are free! we have to pay for ours. and it's really dumb because we only use them for one quarter (which is 10 weeks) and then we don't use it anymore. so like, 100 bucks per book only to use it once and never need it again? so i ended up finding this great site called chegg.com where you can rent books for like half the price of buying them, and in return, they plant a tree for you somewhere around the world.

aww, i'm sorry to hear you don't like the way your uni looks. i'm sure other people will make it nice.

our apartment really isn't that big either. it only works out because we all have our own separate rooms, and not everyone's always home. it's good though.. i'm still homesick. i'm not gonna lie.. but it gets a little better everyday. and now that school finally started, i should be kept busy for a while.

but yeah, 370 doesn't actually sound so bad. but with everything else, it does sound like it accumulates to quite a bit. plus don't you still need school supplies like books and pencils and paper and all that?

i think that's how all universities are. one giant thing filled with a lot of smaller ones inside.

i'm sure you'll find your away around just fine. i still need a lot of discovering to do. haha. but i can get to my classes and the bookstore on my own now.

and about the show, it'll be their 3rd since wembley. they have one today, the anaheim show, then the staples center on the 25th, and then staples again on the 26th, which is the one i'm going to.

sorry for the late reply. this past week has bee pretty stressful. not so much 'cause of school, but because i was desperately trying to find a GA ticket and ugh. it was stressful. but thankfully my ticket is arriving today at 3 pm.

and noope. school officially starts on thursday. but technically tomorrow we have our first core class, so technically it starts tomorrow.

but yeah, i actually haven't been able to do anything fun. all because i blew off my summer assignment to the last LAST minute. so i've been working on that this week.. and not even. i've still been procrastinating while here. i gotta get it done today though. tomorrow's too busy. i'm kind of excited for school though. i mean, my core class has to do with my college's theme which is the reason i chose this particular college. and then my latino literature class.. i can't wait for that one! i hope the teacher's cool. because if we have a sucky teacher for such a cool subject, it'll suck.

and it's a weird bathroom because it's sort of like, not in a secluded room. like the shower is behind these two swing-type doors, and it's covered by a thick white curtain, which is fine by me.

and then the sinks are right outside next to it. like, in the hallway where the rooms are at. it's strange.. i can't explain it. but it's alright. and the bathrooms i just really don't like, it's basically 2 stalls like public restrooms. i mean, none of us mind it so much, but it's just weird. i don't understand why they couldn't just give us a regular bathroom with a shower in it. i understand the sink situation 'cause there's 4 sinks and a lot of us.. but yeah. it's alright. me and my house mates get to know eachother better everyday. so it's really turning out to be something truly awesome.

i actually went downtown with my parents yesterday, and i kinda know a small part of the town now, but not really. tomorrow, me and my roomie wanna go out and explore the campus and learn some bus routes. we did today and it was rather successful. but it was only one place we went to.. tomorrow we wanna go everywhere.

i'm so jealous that you're so good at science and math. i'm terrible at it. it's the only thing that really caused me trouble in school. i hope i don't have to deal with that too much in college. especially since my major has nothing to do with the subject itself.

heyy. sorry for the late reply! this whole past week has been kind of hectic with all the college preparations. but i'm currently replying from my apartment room. i just got here a couple of hours ago.

but yeah, i'm sure you're not the only one that finds the subject hard. and i think a lot of relatives urge their kids/nieces/nephews to pursue medical careers. it's what pays the most i guess but i mean really.. if you don't wanna do it.. it's misery.

i still can't believe facebook is such a big deal where you're from. i mean, social networking is pretty big in a lot of places, but that story about the girl setting her alarm to wake up to water her strawberries just really got me.

and i really hope you get the living accommodations you want! my apartment wasn't quite what i had expected, but it's still alright. and my housemates/roommates are really cool.

i don't think you should feel terrible at all! everybody has an inner artist and some have just learned to begin to tap into it better than others, but the time for its exposure for everybody will come soon.

i think you have to learn to better understand your own artistic vision before you can fully comprehend others'.

maybe you could better understand the artist's vision by putting yourself into their mindset. try to imagine how they came across that artistic expression.

and i don't hate facebook. i talk to my friends every day on there, and it's been a great way of communicating with my soon-to-be house mates, but i seriously wanna delete it just because i really don't need it. and i made a twitter a while a go and i never logged on again. i'm not sure why.. i guess i should go back and try it.

i understand what you mean about the little kids being a little too young to understand when to shut up. but i just love kids. i always have and i think i always will. i think i'm a natural mother at heart. there have been times when my niece and nephew have driven me to tears with the littlest things they do. little kids (and babies especially) are so precious. i kinda see them as untainted souls. they're still young and pure and haven't been influenced by anything in this corrupt world. and now i'm ranting. i'm sorry, i just love kids.

are the university's dorms really tiny and dirty? i always liked the idea of living in a dorm. i thought that was gonna be my first college experience, but my college only has apartments, no dorms. so i was like sweet! i don't think dorms are bad. you can make them fun.
