Uprising at Six Flags.
-
Do We Need This? and Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want.
-
I agree, it's a gem. The piano accompaniment at Glastonbury was a nice touch.
Im glad it was added, its a great transition song on the setlist.
-
Nishe is underrated, and my favorite instrumental by them. It's a good song to relax and chill too...and live the effects added are really awesome.
-
Do We Need This? is a really awesome song, and needed to be on Showbiz atleast. One of my top favorite B-sides.
-
I think the Tiesto remix is pretty bad. Then again I find most of his work awful.
Really? I think its really awesome once the song actually kicks in. As usual though, the intro and outro are unnaturally long/stretched and repetitive...but that can be overlooked.
-
Uprising and Guiding Light are among my favourite TR songs with US and MKU.
IBTY and Resistance are the weakest two. They're good but not as good as other stuff, and as I already said, I prefer the single edit of Resistance.
+The Tiesto remix of Resistance is kinda badass I won't lie.
-
Uprising, Undisclosed Desires, and Guiding Light are all great songs and are major staples of the entire CD....including Unnatural Selection and MK ULTRA. The weakest song is Resistance with I Belong To You in 2nd.
h8-ers gunna h8.

Eh? I don't remember that
It was an older episode they were showing, it wasn't on the new season premiere.

It's when you get the same setlist twice in 9 months. They were so lack lustre at T in the Park.
I saw them in November, and really enjoyed it, mainly because we got MKUltra for the first time, and seeing other songs from TR live.
But when you turn up to a festival 9 months later and get the same set, minus 3 songs (2 of which are your favourite (MK and Exo)) and in a slightly different order, it kind of pisses you off.
I didn't travel from Milton Keynes to Scotland to see that.
The main reason I went to T in the Park was to see Muse. If Muse weren't there I wouldn't have gone.
Mehhh I guess, though I just don't see how that's very surprising to anyone. I'm going to be seeing them twice within the same month and I'm fairly sure the set list will be almost identical. The set will probably be the same as the one at Fort Worth in March....and I'm okay with that. Just seeing them is enough for me, and I actually REALLY enjoy a lot of what they are playing. Like I said....id kill to hear either Bliss OR Citizen Erased at any of the gigs I'm attending. Unfortunately Ive come to terms with the fact that its probably not going to happen.
They have basically been doing the same things in the past, looking back.
-
Sometimes I understand the arguments against the set list and sometimes I really don't. It must be me personally though, because I don't expect them to pull out a huge amount of random songs that are rarely played like everyone else apparently is. Being all butt sore over things like this doesn't really seem like its worth it honestly.
+Yes they are basically ignoring the set list polls and all that nonsense. I never trusted that to begin with, and hey people are getting Bliss and Citizen Erased. Id kill to at least get one at a gig I'm going too.

Interlude is connected to FAWY, there is a short pause between the end of Interlude and beginning of Hysteria.
Obviously...I'm just saying it makes sense to play it leading into Hysteria. They don't ever play FAWY anyways.
EDIT: Saw the rest of your post.
-
That, my friend, would be brilliant. But why the hell Interlude and Hysteria? How many times do we have to say, INTERLUDE GOES WITH FALLING AWAY WITH YOU, NOT HYSTERIA.
Interlude fades into Hysteria...it only make sense to play it before.
and yes Id pay to see that setlist, but its beyond un-realistic...needs more Resistance songs.

Uprising live Goffert Park Nijmegen 19-6-2010. Especially this video:
-
I stumbled upon this and I just stared with a "wtf" face on. It's some guy who is...rollerblading with his whole body? In the background you hear Map of the Problematique and someone singing along to it.
epic.

Showbiz on Being Human!
-
Supermassive Black Hole is no good live.
I see this and raise you with MK ULTRA not being all that spectacular live. It has so much potential. Lately ive noticed it just sounds bland, and the absence of the guitar during the "they're breaking through" bits just take away from the song completely. Needs moar UMPH live please.
-
-
I really like The Small Print, it's a heavy song. Id probably go insane and punch people if they ever played it live.
-
Because lots of people do like it.
Apparently that's something hard to accept now?
-
Undisclosed Desires in Buckle at the mall yesterday.

Don't know much about Phoenix but The Strokes are a good match for Muse, Starlight sounds so much like 12:51 and the driving bassline in Reptilia and the solo work is like pretty similar to stuff like Hyper Music and Hysteria.
I guess, The Strokes seem a bit too poppy even for Muse standards though. Thats just me I guess. I get a lot of random songs on Muse Radio, like Ressurection by PPK. Just....what?
-
Not sure if this constitutes as a controversial opinion, but I was listening to Muse radio on Pandora and it's humourous to me how a majority of the "related songs" sound NOTHING like Muse. I'll give them Coldplay and Franz, but The Strokes and Phoenix. No...not so much. Even Fuel and Aqualung? What?

It reminds me of Placebo who never managed to become a big act in USA but I think they (Placebo) dropped the idea of topping U.S. billboard long ago when they understood they had to tour endlessly over there and completly change their music styles (marketed to be Emo as f*** and write more Electro-Disco-Dance-whatever-stuff oriented) to appeal American people (I mean they changed for the worst for the last 3 albums but it's not enough bad to top the American Billboard ) .
I guess so, though Placebo never really seemed like the type of band that would hit it big in the States anyways. A lot of factors prevented that from happening in my opinion.
What song would you most like Muse to do a cover of?
