Feeling Good was never a 'hit' for Muse. Most people weren't even aware they'd covered it until they started playing it again when they got huge in 2006
I never said it was a "hit", just that it's popular especially live. Just because it's popular doesn't necessarily make it a hit.

Feeling Good is a fun song and is actually a staple of their entire show. The performance itself, the visuals, the overall emotion....it would be a shame if they got rid of it permanently. Just because a small group of people feel it's inadequate and a "better song" of which would probably never be played in the first place should replace it, doesn't mean it's utter crap and should be taken off setlists. It's one of their most popular songs, and deservedly so.
I get the jokes as well, the banner from Manchester was actually pretty humorous indeed.

I swear I just heard Unintended in the background of #3 of E4's Top 100 Funniest Moments. It was about some bloke crawling across a road in a snail costume.
Yup it was.

>Comparing Muse and Radiohead
hey guys, lets compare two bands that sound nothing alike
QFMFT.

I'm sure this has been discussed before but Idk if this is correct:
the cover of Absolution: it's a picture of the Rapture, when all true christians are taken into the sky by God and taken to heaven (at the end of the world), hence all the identical shadows on the ground. The man on the ground looking up in awe is a non-christian staring in disbelief.
what do we think? correct?
There is no wrong answer, since the band has said its up for interpretation. This is a reasonable view on it though.

I's not trollin'. I think NSC is cheesy and RbS is boring. But NSC is, well- fun. RbS seems kind...I don't know, there's just not much going on there for me.
RbS is just so, dark and epic. Especially the ending piano bit. NSC can be fun, though you can only take so much "fun" for so long.
-
Con-Science is one of the best b-sides they've made. It's simple, dark, and the piano is a bit epic.
and Exo-Politics is one of the best songs on BH&R. Haters gunna h8.
-
Black Holes and Revelations is the best Muse album lyrically.
I disagree. I think Absolution is leagues better lyrically.
-
Con-Science. I listened to it stoned for the first time the other day, and it changed my life. Legit.
-
I enjoy all five albums to the point where I can't categorize which are my favorite. I will say though I LISTEN to Showbiz the least, and The Resistance the most....only because it's still kinda new...ish.
-
People who sell their tickets because of their newfound "hatred" toward the band aren't "cool". Thats awesome, you sold your ticket, now go spend it on another overpriced concert that involves a couple hipster bands and Thom Yorke's lazy eye.
I seem to be in a bad mood.
-
Ah, but Clunge is selling his ticket, so it's an opportunity for them to play rarities.
Personally, I think stuff like this is a bit ridiculous....but you do want you want I guess.

Assassin is fine the way it is. GOB edit is great too, but I wouldn't change it.

Just going back to what people were saying on the other page about someone having all Muse albums in their top 5 - I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing or that their narrow minded. OOS, Absolution and the Resistance are my top 3 and I think BHAR would be somewhere in my top 10. I listen to lots of the other music of different genres etc. but I just really love Muse.
It's all a matter of opinion and if someone's opinion is that all 5 albums are the top albums to them then that should be fine. Just because you think you are awesome and narrow-minded doesn't mean they wrong for thinking that. [not you...talking about others]
-
YES. No idea why it was dropped when they put crap like Unidisclosed Desires and Resistance in the set.
Olol at having the Muse albums as their top 5, what a narrow music-span they have!
What?
-
I was just kidding! Matt mentioned the song in an interview once and sort of sang a line from it. Just joking around...
Lady Gaga kicks ass.
Meant no disrespect. I just really don't care much for Gaga, and Muse covering any of her songs would suck...a lot...in my own opinion.
-
"Paparazzi" - Lady Gaga
Why? Lady Gaga performs it bad enough...we don't need a cover of it.
-
WHAT!
Who the hell slags small print, brillant song imo!
You'd be surprised. I think its a great song.
-
The Small Print
Exo-Politics
Those two get the most beef ever, and I dont really know why. They are both fantastic songs.
other songs:
Nishe
Do We Need This?
Falling Down
City of Delusion
United States of Eurasia
Falling Away With You
and if we add covers too:
Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want
Popcorn
Prague

Now I really want to drive down to Six Flags. It's only like an hour away.
Do it, especially since they are about to close. Nobody is going to be there soon anyways since everyone is going back to school. No liiiines.
-
So you mean they actually started playing songs there that AREN'T from 5 years ago?
Apparently so. They played a lot of The Killers that day too.
-
I am sick of seeing stuff like this here.
Yeah, I'm a hypocrite, whatever. But can't you just discuss it instead of calling them wrong?
On a completely different note, I cannot be bothered with Megalomania half the time. I dunno what the big deal about that song is.
Whenever the organ blast kicks in it's just . I just think its a very unique Muse song, and wouldn't work any other way without a massive organ.
-
I'm going to try and get towards the front, but not barrier. Don't think I can handle that.
The barrier is not that bad, until it gets to atleast Knights of Cydonia and Stockholm. Then it might get a little crazy.
-
Neither, though if it were a life or death decision and I had to choose one....Muse's version. I really dislike Lambert, his music is terrible, and honestly I don't think he can sing that well...especially any Muse song around. There is so much I could say about him and American Idol and the crap that comes form it but I'ma save it.
Which Muse song have you recently discovered or rediscovered the awesomeness of?

Butterflies & Hurricanes. Ive been neglecting Absolution a lot lately, thus listening to it again is quite refreshing.
