Reeperbahn Festival is a go according to the official site, courtesy of a little promo video.
-
A pop-up European tour starting in Germany with a couple of "on the day" small gigs would be cool tbf.
-
Wasn’t the set for that pretty average though? I mean, a free gig’s a free gig but I’d only be actively gutted if I missed a killer set or particular song I wanted to see.
Well, I think it was £20 rather than free, but yeah - as I recall, I think at that point the only songs I hadn't seen that got in that set were The Handler, Mercy and Agitated.
Still, given its half the size of Shepherd's Bush, it would've been a pretty cool experience to say I'd seen Muse in a venue that small. I also did like the venue when I'd been there earlier that year to see Courtney Barnett.
-
I'm still gutted I had to miss Electric Ballroom following that "on the day" announcement in 2015... although I wasn't busy, but just had no way of getting something to London.
-
I saw it.
Pretty sure I saw it too, if it is what I think it was.
-
In which case I withdraw my hunch and will wait. Maybe Pressure will be out for then in any case.
-
Yeah Follow Me I remember sounded heavier in its first iteration. Maybe it was the extra guitar in the T2L promo shows that they then ditched for the tour proper.
Actually I realise now I remember it wrong. It was prog-metal.… even more interesting.
-
Is this show broadcast live or same day, or the transmission likely to be a few weeks after recording?
-
but yeah I was about to say the same thing. I would never trust some random dude's description based on a first listen. I've heard Muse fans describe Undisclosed Desires as prog-rock, so I take every description with a grain of salt.
… interesting description that, given UD isn't really rocky (although I did hear a cool sounding rock-based reinvention of the track a while ago).

My main bucket list is Butterflies & Hurricanes which has been frustratingly close (Wembley in 2010 and Emirates 2013 being the main two). Though tbf, should really have made more of an effort to do SBE given a lot of my other ones were played there.

Secretly interested in Matt experimenting with autotune on this album
Isn't there some autotune on The Handler?
-
Wonder if this might coincide with tour date information? Or possibly an indication of when we might get Pressure?
-
I cannot believe that ever was a thing.
But watching Matt strum that dead guitar like a jackass was priceless.
I'm surprised given how shit that went that it was bought back for the Drones live film. And even more surprised it worked, tbf.

Randomly heard Something Human on Italian VH1 while channel surfing in my hotel yesterday.
-
All I know is they were wank before Muse played OOS @ Leeds back in t’ day.
2 now soz
I thought their set at Reading was alright but felt weird coming after Friendly Fires, who were a bit more right for the vibe.
Interpol has 1 and a half amazing albums, one meh and the rest is just plain badTheir debut is still amazing, loved it on the last tour
Still annoyed I missed the TOTBL shows.

Saw on Reddit this. Seems a bit odd its coming out after the ST release date and info came out... might've made more sense to put it out after Something Human.
I will say I've only got this from seeing a flash of comments on Reddit though.
-
New interview tomoz so presumably (hopefully) we’ll get some more detail on some of the other songs. Main ones I’m hoping for are The Void, BITM and GUAF, maybe some more on Blockades too.
Anyone with Apple Music willing to sign up for transcription duties?
-
Guessing we're still a couple of weeks off from the introductory descriptions as to what each tracks sound like.
I'm more excited for peeks on what the hell the next tour is going to look like tbf. Although I do wonder if in Europe, we'll get something different if its gonna be an outdoor stadium run.

My old car had a cassette player but I never had any for it except for a bizarre fiddle orchestra tape a previous driver had left in it.
If I had one, I might've been tempted to buy it.

Not commented on it but I like the cover. But I dunno if you can post a specific 80s film poster and say it reminds you of it given it probably reminds you of all posters from that era.
Anyone got any ideas on when tour dates will be announced? Today maybeI'm prepared for it being around the time Pressure is released, so maybe October. But that's based on pure meaningless guess work.
-
By a mile the best thing on this album so far. Loving the synth-bass mixed-up groove.
-
Is there any hint of a release date for Dark Side?
I know Matt's Instagram posts of video stills and then the solo are hints we must be very close, but anything released hinting at what it might be for sure?
-
If they're filming a video next month (as per the slightly broken video contest), then presumably next single might be out in early October. So maybe we'll hear a bit more then.
Speculation on future gigs/tours

Wonder how long a set they might get?
