  1. I live in Sacramento and will be coming to LA for the Weenie Roast and I'm praying for the Mayan too. I have a great Orchestra seat to Weenie Roast but I am looking for a ticket to the Mayan. Anyone have an extra ticket to Mayan and be up for a trade?

My first post! Long time lurker and registered for the website years ago, just never registered for the forum before. :)

    good luck, and welcome!

  2. Me too! I have Terrace, Section 9, front row. I snagged three tickets. I don't care if they're far, I want to be there. Are you going? You're going to the Mayan too, right?

Well I had planned on going to a different concert since December, but when this was announced I decided to go to weenie roast, but now that I see how shitty these seats are I'm thinking I'm going to end up going to that other concert

Yeah I'm going to the Mayan

Think I'm going to sell these weenie roast tickets if anyone is interested, I bought them just in case.

  3. Good luck to everyone. I'm torn on what to do. I tried yesterday to win tix to the Mayan, but you can guess how that worked out. Irvine Meadows is so close to where I work, I can practically see it from my window, however, I would rather not see them at a festival event.

On the contrary, I forced myself to go to Lollapallooza to see the Cure and it was one of the best shows of theirs I've seen in a while and totally worth it. Hmm.

Why don't you want to see muse at a festival?

  4. I'm pretty sure it's not a presale and it's just a general sale. It says on their website that there is no "special presale"

Good, for some reason I feel like that will make my chances of getting GA better, however I feel like my chances of that are probably slimmer than The Mayan :(

  5. Nope, probably not. Probably orchestra seating. I'm probably not quick enough to get pit tickets. Besides, I don't think I'd make it quick enough up that hill to get in the venue to get rail.

UGH I forgot about that hill

    That hill is terrible.

So I might, MIGHT have an extra ticket to the Mayan, my friend doesn't know if she can get work off that day. I'll let you all know if she can't :)

  6. It says in the contest rules that you must be from the eligible counties, Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Barbara and more that I can't remember. Basically, you have to be a so-cal resident.

Yeah, you have to be from one of these counties

Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Riverside, San Diego or Imperial

    Rehearsing "Absolution oldies" eh?

Edit: First forum post - this will be my 10th show.

I can't help but be bummed about this.. I've already seen half of the songs off absolution live, I was really looking forward to some variety, aside from Falling Away With You and Endlessly... Those would be amazing live

  7. Obviously the guy talked to Matt before asking to record him on video. No need to be an ass and call me a sheep for reporting news.

I've been looking for that interview and I can't find it :noey:

The guy in the video is a sheep. He assumed a smile from Matt was confirmation.

    More like like speculation.

  8. TYPO!! Meant to say "plus" not "please!" I totally didn't mean my post to be b*tchy at all, but I now see, especially by typing "please" instead of "plus," how b*tchy it sounded. Sorry!!

Oh! Haha okay no problem

Considering this gig & Weenie Roast are back-to-back, is anyone thinking about doing both?

Yep definitely thinking about doing both, but I have a different concert to go to that day, don't know what to do :noey:

  9. No lol. Weenie Roast was planned long ago, and good tickets will be hard to come by anyway, since KROQ holds back lots for give-aways. Please you can't compare the 2 venues at all.

Maybe they knew a lot of the tickets were being given to friends/family. And I'm not comparing the two venues, but at least you'll get to see muse :shifty:

  10. I was inches away from getting a ticket to see the Olympics Opening Ceremony just for them but it was like 1000 quid so lol I passed and scalped a gold medal football match ticket instead (Mexico v. Brasil)

Now that was a once in a lifetime opportunity

  11. I think it's just I've seen enough of the standard songs. I won't lose much sleep over losing more. I will however hate myself if they do bring a special song in there and I would have actually been able to get tickets.

I've been considering (for the past 2 tours but maybe for reals this time) to do a Europe travel for one of the big summer gigs there, and that's a big option to plan. The 360 stage possibility just makes it more conflicting.

Going to a big arena gig in the UK has been my goal for several years now, but I don't have any friends that like muse enough to want to save up for something like that, and I'm scared of traveling alone
