yeah and it kicked ass! hmmmmmm i wonder what they'll do with the stage layout now! will the rest of the stage fit in with Dom's kit??? thatd be sweet! ohhh, come on Dom, do something mad with your drums, this thread is drying out!

nah, his original recording kit was the white sparkle DW kit, (you can see it in loads of videos!) Then i guess he used the gold one for the homecoming and smaller gigs and now he'll be using this wallpaper kit for the upcoming tour! woohoo!

WOW! that kit looks sooo 'granny-chiq' !!! but at the same time, pretty damn awesome. Dom's probably the only one that can pull off that look without looking like a tit! yeh i reckon this'll be his tour one...i mean look at all the effort thats gone into it!! he's deffo a DW endorser now then i suppose!

in 2004 on the original Osaka Jam, they play it at half the time and Chris' bass is a lot more low end and played more on the low D-string. i could just be talking out of my arse of course, but i think thats what you mean! haha!

I still think Dom chose to use DW's for the tour because he used the white DW to record the new album with, which he says in the zane lowe 'studio tour' video was the first kit he bought when they were signed. So maybe he's going back to his roots! and also having a play around with different brands! theres also pictures of him using a red and blue DW kit to record origin so i think he probably just likes DW quite a bit! I noticed he also has all DW cymbal stands too so yeh he'll probably have the stool and pedals to match! just cos he can! Jammy git!

Yeh i hope its a one off too! The reason i love tama drums as much as i do, is because Dom got me into them! i love the way they look with the die-cast hoops and agree the lugs are nicer too! I dont know though, if you go onto http://www.musedrums.co.uk and scroll down to the video where dom is giving Zane Lowe a tour of their live room, he says that the white DW kit he used to record the resistance is the first kit he bought when they got signed and he was thinking about new drums for the tour and had them in mind! hmmmm, either way, they sound very nice!

yeh my favourite kit of dom's was the blue sparkle he used at the trabendo 2003 gigs! LOVED the snare sound off hullabaloo too with his black beauty, so much so i got the same snare now! its freaking sweet! yeh i hope he doesnt have the same acrylic kit as before...it seems to be quite an event when he gets a new set-up!!

yeh, just for the intro of cave he needed it! and well they havnt played that for years either! does anyone else think he's gunna just keep the acrylic kit for the new tour??

hmmm, yeh, id go with that theory judging by adams previous predictions and stuff in this way and usually coming out trumps! haha! i really want to know what direction the stage set-up and look will go in, now the artwork has come out! AND more inportantly what Dom's kit will be!

hmmm, yeh, any thoughts about the new set-up?? i wonder what he can do next?? haha! or whether his kit will fit in with the theme of the stage show which it most definately will do i guess! see through and white for BH&R..... industial-esque chrome and black during absolution.........hmmmm! probably wont know until the album comes out then we can sorta look at the themes that run thru it! will be all the typical muse conspiracies and such most likely again!

to be honest, id say the band as a whole are underrated! i cant remember the last time i saw them on the cover of a magazine or heard them on the radio! i also reckon the members of the band are particularly underrated individually, especially Chris who never seems to get enough coverage anywhere! even on live performances and stuff i dont know! he's like the under dog of all bassists, (and harmonica players! everywhere!) anyone else seem to agree??

yeh a lot of them are arseholes! there are a handful of guys that are ok though! Our band Ezra entered the surface unsigned festival and at the first round at the Flapper and firkin in Brum we arrived first to soundcheck. I told the guy doing the sound that i was left handed and i'd have to swap everything around just to go through a couple of songs and he just said "Yeah, go ahead then!" so i did! with a look like this on my face in shock at his laidback-ness!! He even made us a mix of our live set on CD and stuff which was niiiice! supposedly the guy that night, Mike i think his name was is one of the most sought after sound engineers around the area so thinkin about it it does help a lot if the sound people are flexible and arent arseholes!

Speakin as a lefty, im pretty sick of the reception and bad reputation lefties get when playin gigs! its soooo annoying when i have to tell the people doing the sound, so ive got pretty used to the "Oh for god sakes!" and such! haha! but its their fuckin job so MEHHH! i started playin lefty just naturally self taught about 6 years ago and when having lessons, my drum teacher used to get me to play right handed and it just wouldnt happen! its not unnatural or anything!lol!

Yeah if you look on those pics ^^ theres still room for the crasher in between the ride and rack tom, so maybe thats the set-up for one new song?? dunno what he'd do live for that, either have a really fast tecchy to swap it round!lol, or have two crashers!lol, nice! arrrrgh, my mate dan blake the lucky barstud, played at the exeter cavern last week as he's joined this band fronted by a bloke called joe brooks, and he was like wandering around and he overheard some tecchys talking and setting up, and someone shouted ''Stuart!, give us a hand!''. Then he later found out, one of the technicians was Stuart Quinnell!!! (Doms Tecchy!) Then Stuart was talking to Dan! (the git!) for ages, about how Dom used to live above a sex shop down the road and stuff! i told him to get backstage access and phone numbers, but all to no avail (excuse the cheesy line) Anyways, yesss, sexy kit! really am looking forward to this new album!

yeah, but its gotta be said its a fucking sexy snare drum!lol, sounds perfect on hullabaloo!heh, im well stuck, i dunno whether to get an acoustic set, (starclassics probly!) or a roland TD-20k!haha, i sound ambitious!lol, but i love the sound of both kits, doms toms!lol, and the way his kit has presence! but also the fact that you can do pretty much everything you'll ever need to to on a roland kit, especially a TD-20k! check them out theyre accccccccccccce! LETS SEE WHO THINKS WHATS BEST??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i went to music live last week at the NEC and there was a stand with Neil Pearts kit and Taylor Hawkins kit there! anyways! there was a gretsch hammered brass snare and it sounded sweeeet!!!lol, i reccommend that, arnt black panther meant to be good too? (i got told off for tapping Taylors kit!hahaha!) i want the gretsch or the ludwig black beauty!hehehe

Hey ADAM how much were your hats?? all the cymbals on http://www.music123.com are really cheap! theres one of your A Custom crashes on there for $169! i converted it and it came to 82 quid! 82 quid for an A Custom! now whats the hitch?? hmmm! actually i got my double bass pedal on there for 200 quid (Iron Cobra) which i thinks pretty good! especially cos some companies charge more for lefty peds!

yeah ive been playing for about 3/4 years now too, my singles are ok, my right hand technique sucks! (im a lefty) and it feels like i get to this point where my weaker hand like tenses up cos im trying to move it fast! but then i try to losen up with it and it just goes all floppy and i cant move it fast at all! cos theres no power, worst case is, the stick flies outta my hand cos it's all floppy! just gotta keep practicing! i've been practicing doubles recentley too, and theyre overtaking my singles!
