The Killers gig was awesome! Mr Flowers went to the 3 M'sian girls at North Block (that's us!!) & we got to take pix with him! The setlist were: 1. Human 2. Somebody Told Me 3. For Reasons Unknown 4. The World We Live In 5. Joy Ride 6. Bling (Confession of a King) 7. Shadowplay (Joy Division cover) 8. Smile Like You Mean It 9. Losing Touch 10. Spaceman 11. A Dustland Fairytale 12. Sam's Town 13. Read My Mind 14. This River Is Wild 15. Bones 16. Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine 17. I Can't Stay Encore: 18. Mr. Brightside 19. When You Were Young 20. All These Things That I've Done We also managed to greet the band again at the airport today before their flight to Beijing & they said they were sorry that they played a trick on us by telling that the gig was cancelled. Haha...OK now seriously, Nut should bring us potential mental patients to see his gf (she works at a psychiatric ward/hospital) None of the above happened I'm afraid, it was just my wild imagination Here's what really happened: We were there but the Killers were not! There were 2 M'sian girls who DROVE to S'pore and just only then found out that the gig was cancelled! We felt sorry for them Supposedly our entrance. Relax before what show? Unfortunately Liz, we didn't see/bump into any Killers' crew We also asked for the Killers posters, but they (the organizers) said they didn't have it! C'mon, they've already known this did they? How come there were no posters at all??!! On a good note, we saw MUSE posters! Other than the excursion to Sg Indoor Stadium, we also went to Fort Canning Park to reminisce about the gigs that were held there before. For touristy stuff, we went to Sentosa as per Nut's reccomendation and tried the luge! It was great fun! We rode the luge thrice !! We actually came to Sentosa twice, once on Sunday (supposed gig day) + Monday while waiting for our flight back home You gals should try it! This was us on the skyride going to the luge trek Oh Deb, there is a Maybank building! This is for Liz - Andrew Bird's poster / billboard at Esplanade ALSO, THANKS TO NUT FOR BEING A REALLY AWESOME HOST! Driving us to Sg Indoor Stadium, bringing us around etc etc

Hello! A quickie one…I don’t know whether I can take at least 2 days leave for Muse…like Liz, I do hope they’ll come to Malaysia. So I haven’t decided am going to Muse or not. It’s odd isn’t it, having a festival (BNO) on a Wednesday. But for Killers, I may be able to go cause it’s on a Sunday, just need a 1 day leave. I may just buy the cheapest tix (SGD88) though.. I haven’t decided how to go.. another option though is fireflyz via Subang …costs RM165 return. Taking a bus to JB, then change bus to SG is a very tiring process indeed! The queue is verryyy long! The Aeroline is a good option for you Lya! Accomodation – Fragrance hostel it’ll be! Lol Liz! I was about to say you are you a travel writer or something? Maybe you should ;-)

Faz, I checked again with my aunt...it's not Nov, but Dec...16th Dec So no PJ in Melbourne for me But on another note, check out today's NST's Life & Times...says there PJ may be heading our way!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read here Please be true!!!!!!???!! If it's the works of Nenas again, then....don't get our hopes too high No, I haven't got Backspacer yet, according to my bro he couldn't find it anywhere here...(but he already downloaded it). Thanks guys & girls for the encouraging words on my 10-year-old review I'm surprised as well that I wrote in such detail (but very glad that I did! ) Oh yeah...Beautiful Ones is missing from the setlist. Thanks for pointing that out! (after 10 years hehe). Oh The Wild Ones is also missing there... Their KL gig was cancelled due to Neil's poor health. He already looked really tired in S'pore (according to my review) Justine Frischmann hehe. But Damon eventually broke up with her and wrote a really great album (13) Ohhhhh I miss Suede So glad to have you tube - can relieve the 90s experience there ------ I still think Muse will come 25th Feb 2010 ----- My aunt invited me to join her for her son’s convo in Melbourne 20th Nov….which coincides with PJ’s gig 18th Nov (if I’m not mistaken). Wow should I go?

They will come back 25th Feb for our 3rd anniversary in KL;) When was S'pore's? Speaking of anniversaries, I suddenly got the urge to write about my Suede gig (which was also my first ever gig). Then looking at the date, I realized it happened 10 years ago! As it happened a decade ago, I can't really remember much. So I tried to google "Suede gig setlist" . Guess what I found? This I found a blogpost written by me 10 years ago! (posted by my gig mate I assume) I am so glad I wrote it and shared it with my gig mate. Because I don't remember anymore where I saved it. Heck, I don't even remember writing it :-p Hehe..we smuggled in a manual camera & a walkman back then

Your fren met up with them again? Btw, rather unrelated, I thought Fran looks better without the hat. But Serge (of Kasabian) with hat = I watched Muse's Uprising on MTV VMA09 last night Matt went into the crowd!! And what's that coloured blinking lights/L.E.D on his guitar ? I don't really want Muse to be in VMA though...(don't kill me again). Don't want them to be overly commercial BDO...cud be expensive...yup, wud be awesome for them to drop by SEA [spoiler=Beasties/Manics/Long Night] I watched 30 Rock (Star World) after VMA. Beastie Boys were in there! (they rapped) Faz, go watch it! Then after 30 Rock, I watched Amazing Race (new season), wahaaa...the first half, it's reaally funny. Watch Phil with the Japanese host Then after Amazing Race, I watched Manics' Holy Bible Re-issue DVD. Wooow! Footage as far back as 1991! Awesome! James in balaclava Miss Richey though... Finally went to sleep...Crazy! Btw my alarm tone is the theme song from Dangermouse (80s Brit cartoon, with mouse living in a post box. Faz & Miele might know?

Confession to Liz & Faz: I was actually trying to get tickets to F1+Travis (& was paging Nut for help ) But unfortunately, my fren is down with fever, so we have to cancel the plan Argghh Nut...now I need to go hide somewhere so I won't think about the lost opportunity Anyway, better planning next time, hopefully! Ahhh Muse Muse Muse...I dunno how to best describe the new album, perhaps the others have described it better...esp. Noor's review Confession again: It was a slow grower for me (don't kill me pls) but I'm liking it so much better now after a few dozen listens. Perhaps I've been overwhelmed by some very brilliant albums released these past few months...phew...they're all having their creative juices flowing around the same time I hope I could bring my fren (the one supposed to go with me for F1+Travis - it was supposed to be her 1st gig/F1 race) next time around to Muse's concert in M'sia again perhaps...keep your fingers crossed! She likes slower songs (hence Travis) + classical music, (so I introduced to her the Exogenesis songs first That Uprising video on Jools Holland @ 1.38 - Jarvis Cocker of Pulp used to do that a lot...but just for pose I presume, nothing to do with conspiracy theories like Matt lol! I re-watched Kasabian's World Stage set (on MTV website)...errr I didn't see Tom's eyes were red? (Not wanting to believe perhaps )

Thanks Nut for the Keane update!!! That's a really long set there!! Meh, I think I should have went la On Travis, yup, I know about the Saturday-only pass. But Travis haven't confirmed Singapore's gig date on their official site, so I guess I'll wait until they confirm it, soon, hopefully When is Bloc Party? It's a few days before Singapore F1 right? How to manage Bloc Party + Travis back to back?? OK, I'd like to update as well - for Kasabian!! I believe Deb/Liz could update on AAR Actually, I should really thank Faz & her fren (not on this board). I got my pass thru her Also, gotta thank all the AAR fans becos most of them left right after AAR's performance. So I got into the mosh pit for Kasabian!! Anyway, I thought the sound system was too loud, so it drowned down many of the electronica elements on Kasabian's set. But apart from that, I have no other complaints SETLIST: Vlad The Impaler Underdog Empire Where Did All the Love Go? Shoot the Runner Fire (My fave) Club Foot LSF (Lost Souls Forever) with long na-na-na chorus Short set, only 8 songs. About 40 mins
