  1. I still think the most fruitful avenue would be a sustained, album-length crossover of their harder rock, electronic and poppier shades - Bliss, Recess, Shrinking Universe, Hysteria, Endlessly, FAWY, Take A Bow, Starlight, MOTP, Uprising, UD, MK Ultra, Isolated System, Dead Inside, Reapers, Algorithm, Break It To Me and so on. They clearly have an eye for this kind of crossover, where Depeche Mode meets RATM or post-OKC Radiohead meets synthpop. Etc.

  2. Fixing the ST tour.

  3. It’s official; Dead Inside has become my favourite Muse song. Honestly, this song has grown on me ever single day since I first heard it in Brighton on the Psycho tour. It is, for me, Muse’s best distillation of the perfect crossover electro-pop song they’ve tried so hard to achieve (with some success it must be said - I really don’t mind UD or Madness at all, studio far more than live). But DI is just pure perfection, and features not only one of Matt’s best vocal performances, but some of his very best lyrics.

  4. They said they were filming the O2 shows, no?

Tbh, I really hope they don't go big on a release for this tour. It's been hugely underwhelming. Any of the previous tours - Drones, T2L or The Resistance - had much better productions.

In fact, I would have loved to have seen the Resistance towers show given the full DVD treatment. That was an amazing set up.

  5. The Mayan gig is, indeed, brilliant. They seem to play so many of the songs just a touch up-tempo, really helps them feel even more live. Dead Inside was SO good live in the early stages of the Drones tour. In fact, I'd say the highest points of the Drones tour were right up there with Muse's very best post-Absolution. Not a single moment of the ST tour has got remotely close to the Drones tour.
