Same old. Stockholm in. Madness now, Matt cracking up with people circle pitting during Madness :D.
-
Take A Bow ninth and AP eighth? Get out.
I prefer WOTP to Uprising, Supremacy and Algorithm, for sure.
-
Also: they cut Madness from the (above) stream, which looks like an edited post-show version rather than exactly what went out. Anyone know why? Matt's voice sounded a bit ropey in places, for sure. He was struggling with TIRO and watching Citizen now, he struggled a lot with the higher chorus notes in the chorus too.

Holy cow, the Duality riff after Map was immense.
-
WOTP sounds mega live. The RaR and RiP vids look like loads of fun. But why we need Pressure in the set too, idk.

Pressure though sounds far too much like WOTP to stick around though, imo. And I always thought Animals landed quite flat live, was quite surprised when it turned up again on the Psycho Tour. Just bring Hyper Music back. Sorted.

Don’t mind the sarg, bit of fun before Paycho, but Thought Contagion, Pressure and Madness can get in the bin. I’m not saying ‘bring back three old classics’, just bring back three actually good songs. Dark Side for TC, idk, Handler or Reapers or Dead Star for Pressure, and Dead Inside for Madness. Done.

It's miles better than Pressure though. In fact, all three WOTP songs are better than nearly anything on ST, which is a bonus.

I was loving it, and then I noticed a classic Muse detail that makes me want to be sick.
A 2:33, Matt clearly changes 'people' for 'sheeple'. Just once, but it's fucking ghastly.

Just listened to it. It basically renders Uprising and Pressure obsolete in one, short 3m 18s blast. Suits me. It's definitely not exactly what I expected. Sillier than ever.

Enjoyed last night. Didn't feel like a stonewall classic, but some very splendid bits. Agreed with a few above re the sound, Matt's guitar and piano were both very low in the mix where I was on night two (I didn't realise they were playing Citizen until the drums came in) and Space Dementia lacked those massive piano wallops, although I'm glad the guitar outro has survived, it was brutally heavy. Gallery was nice, but although rare, not particularly memorable. Not sure Won't Stand Down works as an opener either. Pressure can do one too, and I can't believe the Prelude+Starlight combo is still a thing. I was genuinely hoping they'd tear into Survival :D.
Assassin was terrific though now it's finally, after 16 years, back to how it should always have been. New Born was massive, and Map should never be allowed to go away again as it's probably – objectively – the best song they've ever written. Oh, and the Calm Like A Bomb riffing was immense. Does anyone know what the MOTP outro riffing was?

Ngl, that sounded ace.

What a nice little setlist that is. Pressure is a bit of an odd one to hang on in there. And I can't wait to hopefully see the full version of Assassin live as it was originally intended.

Was so tempted to go in for the ballot but there was just no way I'd have been able to make it unless I pulled some srs work shenanigans. Boo.
-
The queue opened at about 8.30am I think, I was able to get in the queue at about 8.40am.

See y'all on the 10th.
-
Just buy it on Amazon and rip the songs off Youtube.

Muse say loads of shit and have done for 20 years but still then churn out an album every two to three years and tour it hard. Rinse and repeat.

What's this about a longer version of Compliance?
-
Definitely get the feeling that was due to be released a few days after Compliance but has been brought forward. I think they probably anticipated there would be a response to Compliance, which has come early due to the leak.

I mean, Right Said Fred are massive anti-vaxxers / anti-Covid measures so they'd fit right in with this.
-
PARKLIFE!
-
Oh no. Second listen… and I didn’t hate it. But srsly chaps, turn that bass up to 11. Maybe 12.
-
It'll all be planned, and then they can drop bits as and when they want (to tease) or need (if it leaks). There will clearly be a full video narrative for whole album.

It sounds... just like a post-Absolution Muse album.
