oh yeah im not disagreeing with that, everyone should try a double pedal from time to time, seriously i was in that music shop for over 2 hours trying to decide, when i finally did i was chuffed, until when i got home i realised i couldn't do triplets with one pedal...grrr but still like i said before, thetype of music i play theres no need for it so im happy:D EDIT: please do not bring finance into this - don't stoop that low

any point in triple posting? its not a case of making it harder for yourself, its a challenge. its funny that this should come into topic, last week i wasn't sure what to buy - the single cobra or the double - i ended up buying the single (£110) and used the other £180 to buy a nice 18" A Custom crash the type of music i enjoy playing is suited better to a single pedal, i can do double bass fills with one foot using heel-toe

HAHAHAHAHAHA:LOL:  urm...yes to fellow on the discussion: Quote: Originally Posted by 6ixty_6ix EDIT: I really want a ribbon crasher, i've got a shop that could deliver it to me for around £50ish, but i don't know if you need a specific stand that only fits them or i could just buy a normal boom stand? any help? BEWARE!! the mount on the rhythmtech crasher lies directly below and underneath the metallic strips: therefore not ideal for mounting on ordinary cymbal stands unless you hacksaw a bit of the metal rod off, so if the bolt comes loose you dont get the cymbal mount rod ploughing into the playing strips. Ive just got a crasher and not used it yet so gonna try and find some special mounting device, + of course see how it actually works on an ordinary stand. i should be able to manufacture something to hold it onto a boom stand, my Dad's obsessed with metal work and engineering, he's customised my hi hat stand to make it more powerful and durable, fancy selling your crasher mr richie jazz?

it seems that after watching muse last night...dom did do double beats in assasin and also, the bass drum pattern in Knights is completly different to what i expected here's why... above dom was his space ship and the image projected on that was his foot and bass pedal (iron cobra) he plays 2 double patterns one before the snare hit and one during the snare hit...i hate not knowing the technical shizz basically dom hits the bass drum 4 times in each bar of 4

nooo...i've just seen ADAM's attempt and thats how Dom normally plays it now but if you see the hullabaloo DVD, Dom plays along with bass line he hits it 3 times...argh i don't know the technical terms i don't have lessons but if you watch and listen to bliss on hullabaloo Dom plays his kick in unison with chris's bass riff

might i just bring up this query... Hullabaloo DVD footage...Bliss, does Dom use the double pedal in that? the hats seem a bit 'too' open and the bass beat he does seems a bit hard to do on a single pedal...even for heel-toe people anyway, give me your ideas
