They are guitars and basses designed by jerry auerswald (you can see the obvious similarities in the new madarozzo guitars, which he also designed), but were mass produced in czechoslovakia in the mid 90's. Not many were made as the children got released fairly quick. Here's a catalog I got off ebay a while back. This is about as detailed as you'll get - just the specs really.
