Eavis said that next year's headliners will be acts who have never played glasto before. (He maybe meant bands who have never headlined but either way it means no Muse.)
That leaves me with some interesting theories...
-
Cave makes me cringe, sounds incredibly dated and like a high school band's song. MK Ultra's synth riff is ripped off from Can I Play With Madness by Iron Maiden (but CIPWM is an awesome song) and the "breaking through" part makes me cringe.
-
Though I know the chances are slim, I'll definitely consider Glastonbury if that is indeed true. Will hopefully be able to convince my American buddy too
-
Wow I must be the one person here who likes Fillip

In no particular order
Cave
MK Ultra
Explorers
Endlessly
Uno

Probably not controversial, but Plug In Baby was way too early in the setlist on Tuesday (it always feels more awe-inspiring close to the end of the gig) and Isolated System is a really boring concert opener.
-
Madness first performance because of the "I need your love" vocals:
MK Ultra @ RAR 2010 because of the OoS scream at 2:25 and Matt's actually
rocking out to the riff right after for once instead of just walking around:

Edit:
Was watching that gig again, adding Hysteria to that list:
Love that outro in place of the riff.
Hullabaloo performance of Citizen Erased is how it should be. Fast, heavy and rocking.

not sure if fake but
Amanda Bynes has taken over Muse

DESTROOOOOOOOOY THIS... ciiiittttyyy off deeLUUUUUSSSIOOOOOOONN!!!
I can't go a day without hearing it now. Used to think it was kinda meh, but now I really love it

Not sure we'll get an Absolution 10th anniversary gig, but I'm hopeful a few US festivals are not out of the question for Muse in 2014.
-
This colour looks better than this one
I always wished the background was blue. If you look at Vitamin String Quartet's tribute to Muse album cover you notice the blue fits almost infinitely better.
-
Undisclosed Desires, obviously. It borders on death metal
Alright on a serious note, Dead Star, Micro Cuts and Execution Commentary. Hell, EC would make Diamanda Galas proud.
-
Two bound to be very controversial:
1. I look forward to hearing Feeling Good every gig (awaits the potential being burned at the stake)
2. Survival makes a better encore closer than a gig closer. At the end of the arena tour gig I attended as epic as the CO2 cannons were, it did sort of end the gig on an anticlimactic note. In Barcelona though it was an excellent encore closer

IBTY and NSC were more fun live than KoC was/is.
Apocalypse Please is a good song, but pretty damn boring.
Bliss has been pretty shit live this tour.
Map has been pretty weak this tour as well.
Lay off the crack dude

Those are like the hardest things to sing though.
Even for me who can falsetto like a pro, they're hard to deliver without sounding really flat.
-
The 2nd law is definitely the best sounding album they've made. although i can hear one or two little issues during it but nothing major.
It's quite loud but not too loud. There's still some depth to the sound and dynamic range. Their worst sounding albums for me are BHAR and Origin.
-
There is something about Absolution that just bugs me. It's not full brickwalling like Black Holes but it does get irritating after a while.
Yeah it sounds like its coming from a Windows 98 era computer speaker.
No Muse albums are as badly produced as Iron Maiden's Dance of Death. The production on that album is so terrible it's exhausting to listen to.
-
Yes, it is, but it's not a secret that the production of BH&R is far from optimal. Listen carefully that album, and then TR or T2L.
TR is pretty clipped too. T2L though has some smooth ass production, I just love how deep the bass sounds on Panic Station.
-
That's just.... wrong
Hey, this is the controversial opinions thread :B
-
You would definatly be missing out on one of the heaviest moments at a muse gig
Never cared for the song personally.
One guy on the setlist for the stadium tour thread said he could here people talking louder than the song at Wembley and I'm not surprised.
-
Now here's a really controversial one:
If Ruled by Secrecy came on at a gig, I'd use it as my bathroom/beer break.
-
Uprising worked much better as an opener imo (and in general as well).
Does make a good encore tune but as an opener it's more powerful.
-
Both versions of Supremacy, album and live, are excellent.
The only song I find boring on T2L is Madness. I always skip it.

Steve Harris not on the list. Not interested.
