Pumps can also be things that look like Converse All-Star trainers i.e. thin soles, canvas uppers. Lots of schoolchildren in the UK wear similar footwear, but slip-ons, for PE. So the second definition is probably the correct one as Matt seems to favour this kind of footwear.

sorry was on my phone and couldnt get the link up.
id imagine itll be marlay park maybe around glastonbury/iow/sonisphere time depending which festival they are announced for
I know Slane Castle isn't exactly in Dublin but the festival is big so, if they did do a festival in Ireland, could that be a possibility?

4A new One Direction song is called Stockholm Syndrome....Very slim chance, but if it was a cover of the Muse song, then I will officially build an army to purge the world of these pre-pubescent dipsticks
I hope they haven't but, if they have, there are some positives.
1) They will have to pay Matt a shitload of money because he wrote it.
2) One Direction fans might think it's such a good song that they want to listen to more songs by Muse.
Anything that brings people from the darkness into the light is okay by me.

Someone once gave me an album by System of a Down. I thought it was so awful I threw it in the bin.

Bellamy did say we'd be "shocked" but I can't see them not using the piano.
I'd be pretty disappointed.
So would I.

When did Matt get so much hair
From the hair fairy?
I really must read comments properly. I thought you said 'Where.' (Facepalm.)

Muse might be playing alongside U2, like that's a good thing.
The year Muse headlined Glastonbury when The Edge played with them on a U2 song was better than the original.

http://www.torquayheraldexpress.co.uk/Muse-hopes-opened-Teignmouth-Pier/story-21852784-detail/story.html
THERE are hopes for a second Muse homecoming to honour the historic Teignmouth Pier.
The iconic structure re-opened for the first time today since it was forced to close when winter storms ripped through the timber floor and tossed arcade machines around like coins.
The devastation caught the eye of Muse frontman Matt Bellamy who earlier this year lent support to the Brenner family, who have owned the pier for generations.
Now, the pier has re-opened for the first time and is planning great things for its 105th anniversary next year.
Owner Nik Brenner said: “I don’t know Matt but I have been told that he has been kept updated on the repairs by Tim Bouget at Ode in Shaldon.
“It was really nice to see him when he was here in February.
“It is a really big anniversary for us next year and who knows, we may be able to persuade Muse to come back and do a little something for us.”
The supergroup played the Den in two homegoing gigs for A Seaside Rendezvous in 2009.
The pier featured on their artwork for the sell-out concerts.
Nik said that there has been so much support for the pier with lots of wellwishers who have been following the progress.
The opening day comes just in time for the school summer holidays.
He said: “What can I say, the sun is shining, it has been very hot and very busy.
“It is fantastic to finally be back in business.”
The Brenner family, who have owned the attraction since 1962, said hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage was done in the worst storm for decades.
It has taken delivery of new machines, some of which are having teething troubles, said Nik.
“There have been a few teething troubles because some of the machines are completely new to us so please bear with us, We are doing all we can to ensure that everything is working properly.”
The pier originally opened in the 1860s and has been a popular attraction ever since.

I was actually a bit surprised to see him tweet about it being heavy, still.
The first time I saw him talking about it, he already was prefacing the statement with '... but I might change my mind at any time.'
Best to wait and see...and try to have a life apart from Muse.

If they put up good stuff on YouTube, and Warner blocks it, I'm going to laugh hysterically.
And then, like probably have a stroke...
You won't get close enough to have a stroke.

I, too, am angry that there is no Muse riff, although I am happy that they have included 'How Soon Is Now?' by The Smiths (that's the one I voted for ) and 'No Surprises' by Radiohead. I would be interested to know which riff other Musers would choose from Muse's recordings?

Same here. Never had it before either. Occurring on both Firefox and Chrome for the record.
Same here. I gave my username but not my password. Twice. It kept popping up so I assumed it was a scam and just closed it.

"The new album is coming along nicely! :)"
Is this in LA?

I dreamt this week that I had met Matt and Dom ate a party and they had invited me to drop by their house sometime. I turned up at the house which was of modest proportions and had only a small front garden, no walls or fences or gates, and was in a street of very ordinary looking houses. There was no-one else around. Matt and Dom were out but the door was unlocked so I went inside. When they came home I showed them a crossword puzzle I had designed. I told them I would design one for them and they said, 'Cool!' I left the house thinking, 'Yes! I have an excuse to visit again!'

I always forget about Survival, when watching gigs I'm wondering what songs still remain and that one always slips my mind; forgot to mention it in this thread as well.
It is kind of funny as a short-term joke but in the end as a song it's kind of grotesque, so forced and just loud rather than truly heavy/poignant in message and execution. I hope it's a goner with the new songs arriving. I didn't mind it being the set closer for this tour since it was getting old to always close the set with KOC, but I truly hope the new album has better songs.
I agree. Survival is not one of Muse's best songs.

@Dominic_Howard: “@ZoniaAb: @MattBellamy @Dominic_Howard @CTWolstenholme WHAT happend yo here ? xD http://t.co/hDD04wMJWn”
We're so cool..
They look revolting here!

aka someone I have no clue about.
I've never heard of either of them but if Matt wants to collaborate with people, that's his right. Unless someone tells me the result is at least as good as anything Muse have recorded I won't bother listening to these collaborations.

???
Yes, I'd love to know what everyone's talking about but the link is broken.

I'm not fat, I've just got big boobs.I feel your pain sister.
I've got big boobs BECAUSE I'm fat.
I was dieting last year so I bought a ladies' size small Second Law T-shirt. I had slimmed down to a UK size 14 without a problem and was looking forward to losing enough weight to get down to a size 12 and I would have done had not the Slimming World consultant started being a bitch to me on Facebook. After a six-month dispute which went right to the founder of the organisation I finally had some kind of resolution but I stopped going to SW and put all the weight back on. I bought a T-shirt on ebay that just says MUSE in white on black that fitted true to size when I was a 14 so if you don't mind buying new but not perhaps current as in not from muse.mu then you should be okay.

You mean the Matt it took ages for to remember the CE chords, only a year or so after playing it?
Well, everyone's allowed ONE mistake.
But its Maaaaaatt!! He's a God. -
Wrong, if the setlist is made of old songs they haven't played in a while. And Muse are perfectionists so they would rehearse a lot even for just one gig.
I really doubt they'd focus on a gig for weeks in the middle of their album sessions.
I'm a musician and I know a lot of professional musicians and it doesn't matter how long it's been since you played stuff; people who are this talented and experienced could probably manage a one-off gig with one or at most two rehearsals. Playing new songs requires more rehearsal than songs you're already familiar with. Professional classical musicians usually have two rehearsals to one concert even when performing music they don't already know. Muse know their own songs inside out and only need to go over them a couple of times.
