Towers + WATU --> Uprising was one of the most perfect transitions I've ever witnessed. WATU was the perfect length in that it maintained everybody's interest and people didn't get bored. It also didn't drag on, which IS did a bit. And people went crazy for Uprising, probably because it was their most famous song at the time.
Shame they had to go and ruin it by playing static setlists afterwards.

Who needs freedom screams when you have an Agitated scream.

I witnessed this

They're doing pretty well right now mixing in old songs (remember there's more songs to choose from too). But BH&R just seems to have been forgotten. Not a single rarer song played. Not even Take A Bow.
I guess they're doing pretty alright, much better than TR tour anyway. I just wish they would add back that surprise factor. On a BHAR you could go in and get anything (Showbiz, Bliss, B&H, MM, Micro Cuts, Space Dementia, AP, etc),and not expect it.
I do agree on BHAR just being forgotten, It was kinda weird the transition from BHAR-TR when pretty much 3/4 of the album got dropped. TaB at the very least needs to make a comeback.
-
The BHAR tour was pretty much the perfect balance between rarities and current album songs, too.
Wish they really went back to the BHAR setlist mentality.

Uprising was a pretty good opener during TR tour, got the crowd going straight after WATU.
This tour however it was kinda boring, the choruses and outro are cool, but the rest is pretty boring.
It also annoyed my OCD whenever the visuals showed them in their red ensemble and Matt/Chris weren't wearing their red jacket.

On the topic of Unnatural Selection, really liked this tour's version:

The vocal distortion during the choruses

Agree on the Space Dementia vocals, thought the Reading 2011 was overly dramatic.
I always love how impressive and chaotic the Space Dementia outro sounds, but in reality it is just Dom trashing around on his kit and Matt doing a few simple arpeggios and glissandos up and down the keyboard.
Edit: Man that TaB performance, what a great closer.
-
How often was Space Dementia actually played on the BHAR tour? The only ones I know of are the V fest and the South American gigs.
-
Yeah, over the two nights those Argentinian gigs managed to get:
Dead Star
B&H
Sunburn
Osaka Jam
Fury
AP
Space Dementia
Map
New Born
Take a Bow
Granted the last 3 were pretty much regulars during the BHAR tour, that's some pretty good songs.

It's got most of the criteria for being a good one, intimate venue, fresh from not touring, being labelled as "for special fans", right before a big festival.
They could just completely balls it up though, which wouldn't surprise me much either.

Hoping to see a repeat of the 2008 South American gigs if this actually does happen.
-
Showbiz is an absolute masterpiece and one of the most climatic songs they have, I get chills pretty much every time I listen to it.
Easily within my top 5 songs by them.

http://popload.blogosfera.uol.com.br/2014/02/14/muse-faz-show-solo-no-centro-de-sp-em-abril/
Long story short, they're playing a gig for 2500 people in Brazil at the start of April. So basically a repeat of Zepp.
Well that explains it.
I can't see it happening though, why would they choose Brazil of everywhere? Weren't original sources saying they'd stick with club gigs in England, and then there was the whole Bremen situation, why would they jump to Brazil?
Guess we'll find out, though.
-
Did I miss something? Why is everybody suddenly speculating that there's some mysterious gig happening?
-
I've edited it onto Abso on my iPod, along with the heavier version of B&H. Just wish that version also came with the solo from the live version, before it slows down.
Yeah I don't like how the album version just plops into the piano solo, much prefer the heavier pre-piano solo.
A choice between TSP and FuryWhy didn't anyone mention that Thoughts of a Dying Atheist is a bit shit?
Well TSP and Fury are both good songs, but yeah if I had to see Fury on the album I would've taken out TOADA.

Kerrang magazine's editor Tweeted earlier: "Hearing some rumours about a massive band - a massive, massive rock band - doing a secret show in London next week. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm"
Now I may be jumping to conclusions here and I'm guessing its going to be a different band but... what if?
-
Next you'll say "What was Matt thinking not putting Fury on the album?"
But Fury was on the album.
... In Japan
-
Found myself re-listening to the GOB edit of Assassin for the first time in a while.
Holy shit, what was Matt thinking not putting this version on the album.
-
A shortened, compact version could work. The Isolated System interlude is the most boring thing ever live, Exo couldn't be worse than that. Never liked Isolated System to be honest.
This is why we can't have nice things.
