  1. Sounds like you should read "1984" by  George Orwell if you haven't already. It was a primary inspiration for that album, so a lot of connections can be drawn to all the songs (with the exception of the Exogenesis symphony at the end, which is its own thing)

It's really neat to hear how personally Muse can speak to someone. They're my favourite band for lots of reasons ☺️

Is there a confirmed producer? Insta post mentions one but curious if they're working with Costey again. Would love that.

Is that the one from Dom saying the producer is taking a nap? I think he was joking about his dog

There isn't a confirmed producer yet, but my guesses are it's another self-produced album, or it's Costey (I hope!). They worked with him on the remix so it could make sense to keep the collaboration going even further.

If it's nothing more than getting them nostalgic, I'll be a happy camper. The reason Drones didn't work as a back to basics album, for me anyways, was that it had the heavy instrumentation but lacked the soul of the earlier albums. I would be interested to hear a modern sounding, poppy album that was creatively linked to their earlier work, if such a thing is even possible. Or I might be way off base. 😘

    100%! I totally agree.

  3. Map of Your Head.

I've been trying to get my partner into Muse more over the years and assumed he wouldn't like this one, but it's actually now his favourite Muse song? So I've been looking at it in a different way. It's a really light, comfy song; very raw yet gentle, and one of the more different songs compared to the rest of their discocraphy. The lyrics are of course not light and comfy, but thematically it fits in really well with Origin of Symmetry.

Megalomania sounds great! I alway thought that one missed the depth it deserved. Much better layering now, in both the loud and quiet bits, though the drums in the loud bits suffer from the same issue as the CE remix.

Yeah it really does sound great. I always felt like the pipe organ needed so much more space than the original album gave it, and the remix has made it so much more grandiose. The strings too were greatly improved.

  5. I loved the CE remix. It doesn't replace the original, but listening to it felt like I was discovering it all over again. Definitely sounds a lot cleaner, and the guitar reminds me of the live version.

What I miss the most are the sirens at the end. I do love the strings that come out in the remix, but the ending doesn't feel as powerful.

The Megalomania remix sounds fantastic. Looking forward to the rest of the album!

  6. Bought general admission tickets for the show this morning. Looking forward to lining up early like last time for barrier! :awesome:

I'm really curious how the stage setup will be now that it's in the centre of the arena.

    Hi!

I'm new! What is the presale code for Vancouver for tomorrow?

You need to have been a member of muse.mu, not of the forums, since before October 13th in order to get a presale code. If that's the case you can find your presale code here. If not you'll have to wait until Friday to buy tickets the general way.

  7. Ordered the deluxe edition yesterday, tried about 5 times before I finally actually got the order confirmation page... I only got the one confirmation email from customer service about the order, but I'm worried that it still charged to my bank account all those times. Also didn't get Psycho in that email.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon and we can get all relevant refunds. I'm sure it'll work out in the end though! :) Just need patience.
