Thanks! It's a prototype version of the This1smyne Pearl. It was a pedal that was supposed to be like a Menatone Fish Factory, but then it ended up being something different. One half is a sorta cranked marshall distortion and the other is a really nice, open overdrive. Similar to my OCD, but with more bite. That's a Mr. Black Supermoon. It's a reverb that I'm borrowing from a friend right now. I used to hate reverb on my amp, so I faked it with the ekko 616. It's set to a really subtle slapback and it's on pretty much all the time. I always liked that sound better than reverb. But my friend convinced me to try the supermoon and I'm actually really enjoying it. I might buy one sometime next year and quit doing the slapback thing. So that kinda answers why the three delays. I actually don't use a ton of delay, but they all have a completely different purpose. The ekko 616 is my fake reverb, the e600 is a dark analog delay that I use as my main delay. Nice and dark and thickening. The dd5 is way brighter and I can use it for rhymthic delay (though I really don't use it much). ^ yes. Haha. My friend who lent me the supermoon has a dd20, a timefactor, an el capistan, a timeline, a JHS panther, a dd5, and probably several more that I can't think of off the top of my head... haha. Makes me feel like three simple delays is really not excessive.

I can't think of any other pedal makers who are that blatantly disrespectful toward their peers though. I mean, yeah there are clones everywhere, but I can't think of one large company that makes money off of clones of effects that are still in production. I dunno, I just don't think JHS's pedals are anything you couldn't find somewhere else from a respectable builder. They don't sound bad at all though. My buddy has the banana boost, panther, and a couple others I can't remember the names of. The Panther is especially nice. I'd never pay the price they ask for it, though. Noooo way.

any of you hear the talk about how the astro mess is a blatant, unauthorized, and overpriced clone of Devi Ever's Hyperion? It's pretty laughable that JHS has denied the accusations, when Switchfoot's guitarist said in an interview that the bunrunner was made for him with a built in hyperion clone. Then they analyzed the Hyperion circuit next to the astro mess, and proved that it was a clone. JHS still hasn't owned up to it... Not saying it's not a good sounding pedal, but JHS has left such a bad impression on me with all that. my board's growin... never liked having too many pedals but I'm finding that it's helping my playing and not hurting so... whatever. it's in some disarray right now cause I'm borrowing a friend's Mr. Black Supermoon. Really cool reverb I might buy one some time next year. and then there's my trusty amp my favorite toy.

That is a modded clone of a Fish Factory that got so removed from the fish factory that it became its own pedal. Mine is a prototype, but the builder actually sells them now, and it's called the T1M Pearl. It's a distortion and overdrive. Cranked old marshall on one side, blackface fender on the other. It's a beast Hahah yeah I have some weirdness... Here's the chain: Keeley Compressor > Keeley modded TS9DX (the mod takes it to original TS808 specs) > This1smyne Pearl > Woolly Mammoth clone (also built by T1M), > DD5 > Malekko e600 dark > Malekko ekko 616 (I use it sparingly as a faux reverb/slapback.)> tuner. The expression pedal controls the feedback on the malekko e600. It's awesome cause toe down will send it into spaceship sounds immediately... makes for some interesting swelling options. the baby bottle pop controls the DD5.

Heheh I figured you guys would like that I've never seen anyone else with one, so I do like that... It's a Woolly Mammoth clone. It's amazing. I went to the fabric store and bought some fur, then had the guy who builds my custom pedals glue the fur on. He said it was so nasty with the dust and fur that he was sneezing and stuff and never wants to do that kind of build ever again... ... even though originally he wanted to take my idea and make more of them for other customers. Also I converted a baby bottle pop into a tap tempo for the DD5, up at the top there hahah
