  1. Getting a bit antsy over them announcing Australian dates. Not sure whether they're going to play here in September as they've not got anything after August or if they're going to wait til December.. If they do September then they might as well just play a smaller venue because there's no way they'll out on such short notice.

    Yeah because there are no Asian dates for September or anything I'm thinking they will skip us this time. Wouldn't make sense for them to come here in December if they've got nothing after August. I originally thought they were doing festivals July/August to give them time to ship their gear to Australia but no idea now.

  2. Really hope they announce Aus dates. Think it was June both the last two times that they announced a December tour and with nothing after August it's possible they might be here even before then so they're cutting it rather close.

    Announcement last time was July, so here's hoping it still happens.

    Also I've got a feeling they'll do a pop set tonight for Matt's birthday :rolleyes:

  3. Hi guys!!

    I have read this forum for the last few years but it is the first time I write here :D

    Do you think it's possible that Muse may add a few more dates to the tour? Possibly in Japan. Try to understand me, I am Italian but currently living in Japan and I'm so sad I couldn't go to the Milan concerts that looked incredibly good :(

    They should be in Asia September or October, as they have told fans they will be there followed by Australia later in the year. Japan should be among the next dates announced.

  4. They do take a few months off at the end of every touring cycle and after, say half a year off, they seem to be hungry to do it all again. Yes their energy isn't the same as 2004 but I don't know that taking 3 years break will make them the best live band in the world again. The problem is more the heightened emphasis put on production every tour, which is taking away from their live performance. I feel like there is almost no spontaneity by them anymore and despite their shows always being highly rehearsed, there used to be glimpses of it before their live show became a 'big conceptual nightmare' as Dom has described it as now.

  5. Wishful thinking.

    {Drill Sergeant}

    Psycho

    Assassin {GoB Edit}

    The Handler

    Map of the Problematique {Who Knows Who Riff}

    Dead Inside

    Supermassive Black Hole

    Citizen Erased

    Cave {Piano Version}

    Hoodoo

    {Munich Jam}

    Revolt

    Time Is Running Out

    Bliss {Ext}

    Reapers

    Agitated

    Uprising

    The Globalist

    {Drones}

    {JFK} Defector

    Stockholm Syndrome {Execution Commentary Riff}

    Take a Bow

    Basically the minimum length set they should be playing, with an extra piano song and encore etc. Only thing I'd change is move Defector up and finish with TAB>SS probably.

  6. Had to laugh out loud at tonight's setlist, the difference between it and night 1 is unreal. Find it very hard to believe the band don't know what they're doing when they do stuff like this

    I presume they do know what they're doing. They must think more casual fans attend on the first night than the rest (which is flawed logic to begin with, especially if those are the tickets that go on sale first). On the flip side, if they remain consistent with night 2 getting more varied sets than night 1 etc at least they are making their intentions clear. The problem is, they haven't been consistent at all.

  7. So I have a quick question. When Muse played "Citizen Erased" when I saw them, they stopped about halfway through the song so Matt could grab a drink of water. I found it kind of funny because they were teasing the audience, but I was also scared because I thought that their equipment had failed or something, and there was no way I was going to see Citizen Erased only for the equipment to fail!

    Luckily, they continued, but I have a question: Has Muse done that during any of their other performances of Citizen Erased?

    Yes Perth 2013, only because the guitar malfunctioned: http://www.musewiki.org/Perth_Arena_2013_(gig)
